DESCRIPTION
Oberon F309 is a premium racing engine oil specially formulated to provide effective lubrication for all highly stressed racetrack engines. The special additive chemistry in Oberon F309 also provides complete protection against premature wear and stress failures. Oberon F309 is also ideally suited for conventional cars in city and highway motoring.
CHARACTERISTICS
PROTECTS AGAINST WEAR AND STRESS
Standing starts, rapid accelerations and the high speeds of racing impose extreme loads on all moving engine parts. Oberon F309 protects highly stressed engines against scuffing, scoring and seizure. The Extreme Pressure (E.P.) and special anti-wear additives gives complete protection against premature wear and stress failures.
REDUCES FRICTION AND DRAG
The shear stable viscosity improver polymers in Oberon F309 gives a lower apparent viscosity that results in less internal friction and fluid drag, thus promoting increased RPM. The special polymers in Oberon F309 have the ability to minimize viscosity as temperature rises since there is no permanent shearing so that lubrication is sustained in the high temperature ring belt area.
ARRESTS FOAM FORMATION
The rapid circulation of engine oil in racing engines tends to promote undesirable foam development. If not checked, the foam can quickly lead to engine seizure since the air / oil foam mixtures cannot sustain effective lubrication. Oberon F309 is fortified with special foam inhibitors that stops foam formation to ensure "full-bodied" lubrication under the rigorous conditions of completition racing.
MAXIMUM POWER
Deposit formation in the combustion zone may promote power loss due to insufficient premature fule ignition. The low ash additive chemistry in Oberon F309 prevents the formation of oil deposits, thereby eliminating power wasting detonation.
RECOMMENDATION
Oberon F309 is ideal for all four stroke racing engines normally aspirated or turbo-charged using gasoline, methanol and high energy fuels such as nitromethane. It is also highly suited for conventional cars in city and highway motoring. Oberon F309 meets the performance requirements of US Military Specification MIL-L-46152E and MIL-L-2104D
