| OBERON F230 SUPERIOR THERMAL STABLE HEAT TRANSFER LUBRICANT (Closed System) DESCRIPTION Oberon F230 is specially formulated to be highly resistant to thermal degradation and provide thermal stability at elevated temperatures. It is recommended for service of up to 325 degrees C (617 degrees F) in closed systems. CHARACTERISTICS HIGH THERMAL STABILITY Oberon F230 inhibits the build-up of oxidation deposits - coke, gum and sludge - which may retard the heat transfer rate and greatly reduce the service life of the heat transfer liquid. Processing problems caused through localized over-heating are avoided by minimizing these deposits. EFFICIENT HEAT TRANSFER The low viscosity and excellent heat capacity of Oberon F230 ensures efficient heat transfer since the smaller viscosity temperature gradient greatly assists in rapid heat transfer. The High Viscosity Index(HVI) of Oberon F230 minimizes viscosity changes as temperature rise and fall. The stable viscosity properly allows Oberon F230 to control heat transfer rate more efficiently. Oberon F230 greatly facilitates heat transfer because of its higher boiling points, lower vapor pressures and lower volatility. PROMOTES SAFETY The uniform heat trasnfer provided by Oberon F230 reduces the chances of overheating which is a common problem in the processing industries. As no direct heat is exposed to flammable processing materials, Oberon F230 also reduces the risk of fire. ECONOMICAL USAGE The efficient heat transfer of Oberon F230 saves the large expenses of frequent draining, cleaning and recharging of the heat transfer system. Moreover, its lower viscosity at all temperatures means energy used for pumping and circulation is lowered with Oberon F230. You can switch to smaller pumps with Oberon F230. Alternatively, existing bigger pumps can now be run at lower and more economical speeds due to the low load presented by Oberon F230 at start-up. WIDE APPLICATION Oberon F230 is designed for use in closed heat transfer systems equiped with expansion tanks and operating up to 325 degrees C (617 degrees F). Oberon F230 is the ideal heat transfer medium in processing / manufacturing plastics, waxes, resin, fiberboard, varnish asphalt, grease, rubber, soap and pharmaceuticals. |
