ULTRA-LOW TEMPERATURE REFRIGERATOR OIL
DESCRIPTION
Oberon F225 is a very special compressor lubricant recommended for long service in ultra-low temperature. Available in ISO Viscosity Grades 32, 46 and 68. Oberon F225 is recommended for reciprocating, rotary and crew type refrigeration compressors with Freon and Ammonia as the refrigerant gas.
CHARACTERISTICS
HIGH THERMAL STABILITY
The naphthenic oxidation stable base oils to avoid formation of hard carbon deposits, which can be very troublesome if formed at the compressor-exhaust valves, ports or other high temperature areas. Oberon F225 therefore promotes trouble-free service.
LOW HAZE, CLOUD AND POUR POINTS
These are inherent in Oberon F225 and are so necessary to rovide ultra-low temperature performance. Wax, a natural component of " base " lubricating oils, is removed during their very low temperature refining process. Otherwise, if not properly removed, wax can not only cause refrigeration oils to thicken and / or impair low temperature lubrication, but cause erratic operation or restrictions to the expansion valve and other low temperature areas with ultimate poor refrigeration or failure.
HIGH DI-ELECTRIC VALUES
The high di-electric values of Oberon F225 means that these ultra-low temperature refrigeration oils are Water Free. As with wax, ice crystals can cause restrictions and blockages of the expansion valve.
COMPATIBILITY
Oberon F225 are unreactive to refrigerants and refrigeration systems surfaces further ensuring trouble-free service.
