| OBERON F222 INDUSTRIAL HYDRAULIC OIL DESCRIPTION Oberon F222 is a premium hydraulic fluid, specially formulated to handle high operating temperatures, pressures, power densities and higher fluid flow rates found in very high horsepower hydraulic systems. CHARACTERISTICS HIGH VISCOSITY INDEX Oberon F222 provides consistent viscosity regardless of change in temperature. Ordinary hydraulic fluids thins out when temperature rise. Oberon F222 continues to give a constant full-bodied lubrication and wear-reducing lubricating film, even at high operating temperatures. In this way, Oberon F222 ensures optimum hydraulic power and prolongs life of hydraulic equipment. HIGH ANILINE POINT Oberon F222 contains special additives, which ensures maximum protection on synthetic rubber components, therfore extends service life of oil seals. WEAR PREVENTION Oberon SL3 low zinc anti-wear additves in Oberon F222 gives high horsepower hydraulic pumps operating at 28,000-kPa (4,000-psi) extra protection against very high pressure, power densities and temperatures. As a result, hydraulic systems, charged with Oberon F222 operate longer and more efficiently at increased horsepower, temperatures and lower oil consumption. FILTERABILITY Ordinary hydraulic oils form deposits and block filter systems. In contrast, Oberon F222 inhibits formation of deposits and maintains excellent lubricating flow even in the presence of moisture contamination. OXIDATION RESISTANCE The powerful anti-oxidation inhibitors in Oberon F222 resist corrosion caused by moistue and acids. Oberon F222 prevents frequent high costs spent on hydraulic replacements, erratic valve control operation, filter plugging and down time. CORROSION RESISTANCE Oberon F222 is compatible with all types of metal. It controls wear and corrosion of steels, copper and aluminum alloys and silver components in Lucas PM pumps. FOAM RESISTANCE The Oberon SL3 anti-foam additives ensure any entrained air will quickly separate from Oberon F222 to prevent wear-producing metal-to-metal contact. APPLICATION Although Oberon F222 is developed mainly for hydarulic equipment, it is also excellent for vacuum pumps and enclosed gears, wherever extreme pressure functions are not required.
