EXTENDED LIFE ANTI-FREEZE COOLANT
DESCRIPTION
Oberon A648 is a premium quality, silicate and phosphate free, ethylene gycol based anti-freeze concentrate that contains a patented carboxylate inhibitor additive package, designed to produce an Extended Life product with an expected life of five(5) years or 150,000-miles when properly installed.
PERFORMANCE
Oberon A648 meets or exceeds ASTM D3306 standard for a high quality anti-freeze coolant - Specification for Ethylene Glycol Based Engine Coolant For Automotive Light Duty Service. It will not affect engine or vehicle finishes, and is compatible with all major American brands of anti-freeze and supplemental additives. It will not affect radiator hoses and contains a high quality de-foamer to prevent foam to extend life of the coolant.
Oberon A648 also contains a low silicate, all metals protection patented inhibitor package. It provides excellent all-metal (including aluminum) protection as listed by the ASTM corrosion test, and yet it meets the requirements of the trucking industry (less than 0.1% silicate)*. This formulation fits the requirements as specified by ASTM D4985 for heavy duty diesel engine applications and CATERPILLAR EC-1 for heavy-duty diesel long life applications.
APPLICATIONS
Oberon A648 is designed to be compatible with and meets the specifications for most automotive applications that require a "long life" anti-freeze / coolant with the carboxylate class of chemistry. Recommended for heavy-duty diesel, passenger cars and light commercial vehicle engines where enhanced protection is a requirement. It is acceptable for use in alumimun heat-rejecting surfaces and cast iron engines.

Oberon A648, is NOT formulated for "Topping-up" cooling system with other existing coolant. Before applying Oberon A648, cooling system MUST be entirely flush clean.
