News:
18/IV/2001:
Although the Attribute Auction is still in progress, a Prologue
to the Campaign is already rolling. I'm also preparing a section
with gossip, hopefully to place online.
20/III/2001:
The website for the upcoming PBEM "The Road Goes Ever
On" is launched! We have a GM and three players. That's
enough to get us started on something. IC action will start some
three months before the events described in Zelazny's "Nine
Princes in Amber." We're in the process of
character-creation, so far. Keep an eye on this space for
developments.
Dates so far:
| Campaign | Date | Event |

Ongoing | Attribute Auction |

My troupe of players:
It's not easy to find people who've read Zelazny in this god forsaken tiny corner of Shadow Earth where we live: Portugal. So our group is necessarily small. I must admit I'm guilty of initiating all of them to Amber - the poor souls ;) Here they are:
Nuno
Silva - Fellow RPer who got into Amber only a couple of
days after I did, back in 1998 and with the precious help of
Michael who patiently explained to both of us just what Amber was
all about. Ah, the good ol' days when we desperately scavenged
for Zelazny books (by then sadly already out of print)...
Ricardo
Madeira - The guy who introduced me to Face-To-Face RP
(with Call of Cthulhu) and who's been my most steady Game-Master.
He has a long history of RPing and has played in various settings
and systems. I haven't yet seen much of him as a player, but I've
seen some and I look forward to having Ric as my player.
João
"Jota" Nunes - A recent acquaintance, more or
less, and my Immortal Game-Master. Judging by the stuff he pulled
out of his sleeve on our Immortal sessions, we're both in for a
lot of fun ;) Also has played and GMed in various settings and
systems.
Marc
Figueiredo - Well, Marc is not a player, actually. He's
the Precious GM Helper (TM). He's the guy responsible for most of
Castle Amber's looks in our game, and he also helps along with
assorted research and whatnot.
The Game:
There's not a whole lot to say about it yet. "The Road Goes Ever On" is a PBEM which is set to take off some three months before Zelazny's first book in the series, "Nine Princes in Amber."
We will be following the rules from the ADRPG book, basically. This is my first experience as a GM (Amber or otherwise) and therefor I don't know yet of any changes to the system I might feel are necessary. So there ;) Minor details can be changed, though - like the attribute auction, which I'll make pretty much secret.
Ah, yes. The game will be played in Portuguese and I shall be asking for two posts per week. For now I don't have any plans for starting a mailing-list for the game. Characters will probably all start in different locations and, there being a lot to say about secrecy and stealth in Amber, I will only make posts public when all characters are present or if the occasion (say, a party) is one that might become common knowledge.
As for Amber geography, I'll do my best to stick to canon when it concerns Shadow. Amber Castle, though, is to be the product of personal interpretation together with a little experimenting from me and Marc, so it'll end up visually different from the one described by Zelazny. I've already seen so many different versions out on the Net... Ours will just be one among many :)
Looking forward to the beginning, your Game-Master:

Other Amber Projects:
"Infinite Shadows" PBEM
This is Tim Plaice's campaign. I joined up as a player in January
2001 with Helena, a daughter of Deirdre. It's too soon to post
anything else about my character up here yet, but do check our
official webpage, regularly updated.
Kirby's PBEM
A project I'm only too sorry to see on hold, due to RL catching
up to our GM. I've kept my character, Phoebe, lovingly frozen in
the depths of my computer's virtual folders and I still long for
the day a message will hit me out of the blue announcing a
re-start ;)
