What he probably never imagined is that his play "sets me up" to make a huge mistake! Paul's apparent gift draws my attention away from the much better m3 TRANQ +56. Not TRANQS for 65, I don't think. Paul has sent ample signals at this point to indicate that one should retain the S, as the board is about to get nice and open. But those signals don't justify sacrificing huge points just to shut off the 2x2 column, so I can't and won't claim that as a defense.
