Have you ever had a dream that you had constantly? A dream that haunted you?
The dream that haunts me is the one on the mountain...God’s mountain. Once again, the purplish-pink sky has taken my breath away, and I am alone again....yet joined by the same whispering as before.
“You’re unfulfilled, Gwen. What do you seek?”
“Are you God?”
A slight laugh, and a woman steps into view. She has white hair, crystal ice-blue eyes, pale skin...her features are strong, divine, perfect, if God was a woman, he’d look like her.
“Do you want me to be God?”
Her voice is melodic, yet commanding.
“To be quite honest, I don’t care. Sorry.”
The woman nods her head. “It doesn’t bother you if God takes the form of a woman?”
“God’s not a woman, and not a man, either. God is everything. It doesn’t matter what form God takes. It’s all the same.”
“You are wise.”
“Not in the slightest. Why am I here?”
“You are here, Gwen, because you deserved another chance.”
“At Nick’s expense?”
The woman, God, or whoever she is gives me a stern look. “No, not at his expense. Nick understands what had to be done.”
I smile a little, hugging myself. “Where is he? I want to see him.”
“That I don’t know.”
“What?”
“Nick does what he wants. He is not restricted. He can go wherever he wants, whenever he wants. I have no control over what he does.”
I glance around at my surroundings, then settle on the woman. “How do I find him?”
“He’ll find you. Trust me.”
I am annoyed, and this woman knows. “I know you’re a curious creature, Gwen, but I don’t have the answers. There may not even be answers. Take the gift and move on.”
And ignore my conscience? No, I can’t do that. I have to know where Nick is, why he’s here...how he is.
“You have a good heart, Gwen. Nick will find you, dear. That I know for a fact.”
“How?”
The woman smiles. “One look at him, and it’s clear. He doesn’t have to say a word that he will find you. His heart screams it.”
