They literally spend the next 2 weeks or so in this way.
They had been so close these days that even Brian had suspected that there was something between them.
She tried to keep the relationship as platonic as possible but she couldn't control it.
Maybe for the fact that he was the only one who knew of her illness.
She had been thinking that the reason Nick had been so nice to her was all because of her illness.
But Nick kept assuring her that it wasn't.
Seeing her best friend's boyfriend behind her back wasn't a very funny thing to do either.
Nick had been spending so much time with Faith that he almost had forgotten Mandy's presence.
But Faith was glad that Mandy did not kick up a big fuss or something.
She just thought that maybe Nick wanted to spend more time with her because they are best friends.
And so she made a big decision just 1 week before Christmas.
And that is to leave them.
"Where could I go?" she lay on her bed facing the ceiling.
She settled her mind on moving to one of her friend's house.
She got up from her bed and went over to her desk.
She sat down and began to write a letter.
As she writes, she kept looking up at those photos, which she and Nick had taken.
Well, I guess by the time you read this, I would have been gone. I am going to stay at one of
my friend's house. You can just say that I am escaping. Escaping from something. I just don't wanna say.
Anyway, I will be back and so don't worry about me. I'll take care of myself.

"Simple and sweet." she said.
She folded the paper up and slipped it into an envelope, putting it on her desk.
She will be leaving the next day and so she went to prepare her luggage.
She did not bring a lot of her things along, just some clothes.
But she made it a point to bring along an album of photos, of her and Nick.
The whole of that day was quite difficult to pass.
Every little word that came out of her mouth made her sound as if she is saying her last 'good-bye' to them.
The boys noticed that she is behaving very weird but did not ask why.
And she had been avoiding making any eyes contact with Nick, as she is afraid that those eyes will melt
her again and that she would not be able to leave.
Night soon came and it was not easy to get through.
But she was glad that Nick did not come into her room that night, like he always did.
She kept her eyes fixed at the night sky for the whole night.
Shinning stars and breezy wind made the sky look so beautiful.
"Just how much time am I left to appreciate this?" she thought as a tear trickled down her cheek.
As she wiped her tears away, a shooting star came across the sky.
She wasted no time and closed her eyes to make a quick wish and she opened them in time to see the
last trail of the star.
She did not sleep that night and just stared into the beautiful sky.
Morning came without a trail and she knew that it's time to go.
As it is only 7:00am in the morning, the guys won't wake up till it's around 9:00am.
"Ok, now I have to leave before they wake..." she murmured under her breath.
She carried her luggage and walk out of her room without closing the door.
She couldn't resist leaving without taking one last look at Nick and so she slowly opened the door to his
room.
She was so afraid that Kevin, Brian and Nick will wake up and so she tiptoed in.
She had to do this quick and so she look at Nick and give him a kiss on his forehead.
Nick thought that it was some mosquito and he scratched his forehead.
Faith giggled a little but soon her smile fades.
She went out of their room taking one last look at her brother, cousin and Nick.
"Good-bye..."
She walked to the door and opened it.
Just then, AJ came out of his room.
Faith got startled and quickly went out and slammed the door behind her.
She practically flew to the street and flagged down a taxi and went away.
"Man...Who was that?" AJ said.
He was just coming out of his room to go to the toilet and there he saw the door opened and slammed.
The other guys were awoke by the slamming of the door and came out of their room as well.
"What's all that racket?" Nick asked, irritated by the noise.
"I don't know. I came out to go to the toilet and there the door opened and slammed." AJ said.
"You mean the door open and slam by itself?" Howie joked.
Nick looked over to Faith's room and discovered that her room door wasn't closed.
He went in and saw that all the photos displayed on her desk were gone!
There lays the letter, which Faith had written and Nick picked it up and tore open and read it.
"Aww man...why did she leave?" Nick said and run out of her room.
"Guys!!! Faith had left!!!" he yelled.
"WHAT??" Kevin was in total shock.
And for the whole afternoon, they kept figuring where Faith had gone.
They called up Mandy, Kathy and Leighanne and ask them if Faith had gone to their place.
No, was the reply and all of them was devastated.
The girls came over and help them to call every possible friend that they knew of Faith.
But all of them just gave the same reply.
"Just what the hell is she escaping from??" Kevin shouted.
The other guys try to cool him down but to no avail.
They had never in their whole life seen Kevin so angry and frustrated before.
Nick just stayed in his room staring into space.
"Why must you leave?" he said.
He thought of every possible reason.
Running away from him, away from the real world...all these thoughts was just driving him crazy.
