"How is she?" Nick asked.
"I am sorry...we can do nothing about this..." The doctor said and went off.
"No..." he murmured.
As Faith was wheeled out of the emergency room, Nick held onto her hand.
"Faith, I love you..." she could only smile a very faint smile.
"Kev..." she said in a very small voice.
Kevin went over to her and bent down.
"I am sorry that I left just like this...."
"I was so worried for you..." Kevin said.
The nurse wheeled her back to her ward and lifted her onto her bed.

Everyone gathered around her bed and look at her.
"Smile, everyone...don't be sad..." Faith said.
But they just can't smile.
How could they when the girl lying in front of them was going to die?

Faith let out a sigh and looked out of the window.
The night sky seems to be more beautiful that night.
"Nick, can you take me out to the garden?"
Everyone look at Nick.
"But you'll have to stay in bed..."
"Nick, just take her to the garden..." Kevin suddenly cut in.
"But..."
"Please...?" Faith pleaded.
"Alright..."
Nick carried her and put her onto a wheelchair.
"I just wanna be alone with Nick..." she said and everyone nodded.
Before Nick was wheeling her out, she called out to Mandy.
"Mandy...I am sorry..." Faith said.

Knowing that what she means, she could say nothing more.
"Don't worry about me...I don't mind..." Mandy said and gave Faith a hug.
"You'll be my best friend forever." Mandy whispered into her ears.
Upon hearing this, tears roll down Faith's cheeks.

As Faith look up at the black sky in the garden, she felt that life is so beautiful.
"Nick, isn't life beautiful?" she look down at Nick, who was squatting next to her holding her hands, staring into space.
Nick looked up at her and admired her beauty under the shimmering stars.
"Not as beautiful as you...life without you is ugly and horrible..."
"No, Nick. Even when I'm gone, life still goes on...you, Kev, Mandy and everyone else still goes on..."
"I don't want this..." Nick sobbed.
Faith tried very hard to hold back her tears.
"Today is Christmas, I wonder if Santa is on his way to fetch me?"

"I won't let anyone take you away, Faith, no..."
"Nick, don't be sad...everyone have to die. Maybe there is a much more beautiful world waiting for us after we die...Nick, I love you."
"Don't say your good-byes..."
"Nick, I won't say it cause we'll meet again.... if you believe me, we will."
"I believe you..." Nick said and looked into her blue eyes.

Nick could almost see the night sky in her eyes, with millions of stars shinning in them.
"Nick...a shooting star... she said and Nick look up at the sky.
"Make a wish, Nick." she whispered into his ear.
Nick closed his eyes and made a wish.
He had wished that Faith would never leave him, never.
"Nick...is shooting star just a star or an angel's only ride home?" Faith said as her voice began to fade away.
"Angel's only ride home..." Nick said, still with his eyes closed.

Faith took one last look at Nick.
A single tear dropped from Faith's eyes and fell onto Nick's hand before they closed.
Nick opened his eyes and look up at the sky, where the shooting star had long gone.
He turned to face his love.

"Faith?" he called out.
No response came.
"Faith...?" he shook her but she just remained motionless.
"NO!!! FAITH!!!!! COME BACK!!!!!" Nick cradled her into his arms and fell down onto the ground.
"Come back...you can't do this to me..." he hug her close to him.

The rest heard Nick's shouting and ran to the garden.
All of them cried when they knew at that moment that Faith had gone.
And Nick just sat there and cradled his love, despite how the nurses tired to tear him away from her.
