| COMPANIES OFF AND RUNNING AT THE HAVEN (11/7) Three companies announced their entry into the athletic shoe market yesterday.Tech Athletic, Street Gear Inc. and C.O. Bearcats all announced plans to market an athletic shoe. The shoes will hit the stores in mid to late December, just in time for the Christmas rush. |

| SEARCH BEGINS FOR MANUFACTURING SITE (11/7) All three new shoe companies are expected to do heavy research this week to find the right location to place and build their factories. Groundbreaking should occur sometime after this week, when a site has been approved by each company's board of directors. Possible locations are included both inside and outside the United States. Labor costs, land costs and any other fees will be the deciding factor on where the companies choose to set up shop. |
| BIDS OUT FOR SITE, COMPANIES TURNING THEIR BACK ON AMERICA, SAYS AFL-CIO (11/9) After a period of intense research and scrutiny, all 3 new companies have put submitted their requests to build their factories. Each company listed their first choice as Nigeria. None of the three even put the United States in their top 3 build "wish list", prompting the question "Just how American are these companies?". The AFL-CIO has begun to complain. The leader of that organization, James Hoffa Jr. was quoted as saying "These shoe companies are gonna get what's coming to them. American workers are the best in the world." |
| TECH ATHLETIC FIRES BACK AT HOFFA JR. (11/9) In a press release issued earlier today, the staff of Tech Athletic responded to the allegations of the leader of the most powerful labor organziation in the world that their company was turning it's backs on the United States of America. "As employees...we feel that your statement is feasible. Our choice of country is based on a budget, and we have researched the country of Nigeria and....we feel that Nigeria is an all around better choice. Nigeria has availible workers and affordable workspace. The economy is the best for the company." No response was availible as of press time from either Hoffa, Street Gear, Inc. or the C.O. Bearcats. |
