| I was born in Victoria, Cameroon, where I completed elementary and junior high school. After senior high school in North Western Cameroon, I attended University of Ibadan in Nigeria where I graduated with the Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed.) and the Master of Library and Information Studies degree (MLS) in 1989. I have worked as Librarian/Information Resource Center Director (IRCD) for the U.S. Department of State, American Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon for ten years, but have recently become a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) student in a university in Texas. In my spare time I listen to a variety of music on FM radio in the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex. My favorite stations are Mix 102.9 (KDMX), 94.5 KSOUL, KISS FM, KVIL (Light Rock), and KOAI (Smooth Jazz - The Oasis FM). I have also taken a keen interest in listening to pop music stations broadcasting live audio streams on the Internet. My preferred stations are NRJ in Oslo, Norway; Xtra FM in Costa Brava, Spain; Heart Digital in London, UK; and The Voice in Copenhagen, Denmark. These stations are not only entertaining in their choice of hit selections, but also in the quality of their audio streaming content. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| My hobbies and interests include Internet browsing, skywatching, travelling in foreign countries, and meditation. In other parts of the world, I'm a keen shortwave radio enthusiast (DX-er), but in North America, I find the the airwaves uninteresting for DX-ing. I have travelled widely in Africa and a few countries in Europe. I enjoy putting the strong skills and wide knowledge gained in my previous position at the benefit of people researching on Cameroon or Africa. Apart from English, I speak, understand, read, and write French, can read and understand Spanish, and can speak a few words of it. Since 1995, I have been a member of the American Library Association. In 1997, I attended the annual conference of the association held in San Francisco, CA at a time when developments in information technology were impacting on the practice of librarianship and information management. |

| I have so many dear friends that I can hardly say with certainty whom amongst them is my best friend. Ralph, a mechnical engineer, and a friend from childhood, lives near Osaka in Japan. Armed with a Ph.D in molecular biology from Osaka, Japan, Urbain has been a resident researcher with the research labs of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He recently moved to Melbourne, Australia to work for a giant Swiss pharmaceutical firm. Simon, who is resident in Nebraska, will be taking the bar examination in 2004 to qualify as a lawyer. Venn lives near Chicago and is currently enrolled in a graduate program in environmental management. As I'm quite new to the DFW Metroplex, my social activities are very much limited to the perimeter of area code 75089. |
