ore than a hundred years prior to the events in the death of young Timothy von Braun, the well known Irish toymaker, Gerald O'Grady (Brian Kibby) was murdered during a heated argument with his neighbor, and former friend, Dr. Edward von Braun.

The events surrounding the murder unleashed a sleeping curse upon the von Braun family name. As per the rules of the curse, O'Grady's soul was trapped within his last earthly creation, and that creation was given a body with which to carry out the rest of the curse: destroy the Edward's family name.

On January 4, 2001, the latest murder was seven-year-old Tim von Braun, who lived with his brother, David (Jody Kluck) in the house that was formerly O'Grady's. Still disturbed by the deaths of their parents in years prior, Dave and his only stable living relative, Gary (Jamie Klueck) are equally frightened by the newest development as they find themselves in the sights of the dark figure they call "Vengeance."

This highly symbolic motion picture will play with your head, and make you question coincidence, common possessions, and the unusual subtleties of the world around us. It will keep you guessing until the dramatic end: who will survive, if any?

Halloween 2001, find out how sometimes fate gives the victim a second change....

he story was created around the limitations that we had at the time. We knew it could not be a story that relied on any sort of effects–when it was in its infancy we thought we would simply shoot it on 8mm then linear edit it. Of course, that idea was rethought, resulting in the purchase of the Canon GL1 that we used for shooting and the Mac G4 that is used to edit. We added some extra effects that made the picture better than it would have been.

We also knew that with busy schedules, it would not be easy to work out any sort of shooting schedule with a large cast, so it was written for a skeleton crew... Most of the time, two of us were onscreen and a third person was shooting.

The soundtrack was an early consideration–leading (along with the limited cast) to the adoption of the horror genre, which we at first considered it. However, despite the bloody legend surrounding it, the movie is not a "slasher"-type film, and is therefore more of a psychological thriller, which is its official genre.
