About Me
My name is Allison, I'm based in
the South of England, and I love drawing. I spent two years in an art
foundation course after leaving school, then a number
of years working in a professional photographic
studio. I'd like to tell you I'm now a
full-time professional artist, but that would be a big fib, I work
in an office.
I have undertaken a number of pet portraits,
mostly for friends and work colleagues, many of which you
will find here on my website, but my real passion is drawing
celebrities. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so over the years
my style has gradually become photo-realistic in nature.
Some people would criticise this as being quite unimaginative and
not exactly creative, and actually I would have to agree.
But unfortunately I don't have a choice in the matter. This
is how my brain chooses to translate what it sees and no amount of
persuasion into other mediums (acrylic, pastels, oils,
watercolours) seems to work.
So what else have I done? In 2005 I
exhibited two of my drawings at the amazing Wildlife Art
Exhibition held annually at Marwell Zoological Park. If you
get chance to go along, I would recommend it as a great day out

More recently, in May 2008 I became the
proud winner of an Artwork Competition held by TakeThatTV.com.
My drawing of the four boys from Take That received the
highest votes from Take That fans from around the globe, and I
received an exclusive multi-platinum disk of their Beautiful World
album. What an honor!
