The Woman In Chains

2005

She sits in a world of sweet and golden silence
Her world who few would admit to but so many crave
Clothed in steel and leather in honor and love
She is free for she is a slave
Many women of today would look upon her and wonder
And many would turn their head in disguist away
Refusing to understand their own desires
Or how this woman could so proudly a collar display
To be so proud that she is owned
To bend to any mear man her knee
Honored and proud to wear His name upon her throat
They wonder what they cannot or will not see
And as she kneels there in the shadows
She smiles a soft and secret smile none will ever see
A smile of sadness for passion forever surpasses and lost
She smiles for those women in pity and sympathy
For she realizes that they know nothing of womanhood
And even less of the hunger that burns within their breast
They make of love an innocent game
And ignore in their hearts what their sould protect
To give love and honor for His dominance
To give her obedience to he who holds her soul
She knows there is no shame in such submission
For in that submission she is made whole
To her sisters who would hold her in such contempt
Who say that no man could tame their proud spirited sins
She smiles in the knowledge that she is above such games
For she knows that bended knee isn't death of love but where it begins
So let them offer their pity and scorn the woman in chains
Let them deny their dreams in the dark of the night
For as they dream the dreams of which they will never speak
She knows that soon those dreams will turn passion ignite
