The Bridge

It is my honor to release to all of you the long awaited poem. It is with great pride that I offer it to you. It is a poem of love and the struggle between a submissive and the Master she is soon to discover she is to serve. It speaks of the great pain, passion and trust between them and then the joining of their souls. It is straight from my Master's soul and was perhaps one of the hardest to let go of. It has always been my honor to release my Master's poems but this one is special. Enjoy.

The old Master stood upon the ancient bridge
Smiled at the woman's demand that he step aside
For the bridge was narrow and the river deep and cold
He saw within her something she could not unto him hide
"I shall fight you" she threatened to him
"I shall do battle and win for many have fallen in my wake"
The Master smiled and beckoned her to come forth
And give battle for far more than she was at stake
They clashed there together on that bridge without further words
And still not a word did the Master speak
He took her blows without flinching as his tears stained the bridge
She wondered who this man was so strong and what is was that he did seek
At last her strength failed her as she stood gasping for air
Still the man stood bloody and unbowed
She cursed and she screamed at this giant that refused to give way
When from their feet both heard a crackling sound
Moving swifter than lightening the Master knew what he heard
And gathered her quickly unto his breast
Like a child in his arms carried her back the way he had come
As the bridge crashed to the river below unable to stand the test
The woman looked at the man with questioning eyes
A question the answer to which she must know
His strength had been many times her own she did admit to herself
But it was a strength he would neither use or show
"You took all I had" said the woman in her awe
When at any moment you could have like an insect brushed me away
I spent my strength upon you like waves upon a beach
But at the end it was my life that you saved before thine"
The Master sighed and they stood there
And smiled a smile that did infuriate her so
He brushed the dust from his leather trouser leg
And then turned slowly to go
He paused in the gathering twlight dim
To look back upon her questioning eyes
And smiled a soft sad tender smile
Deep within her soul the woman began to realize
"I am the Master who has lived in your heart
The dreams about which you have never told a soul
I am the faceless man who you are helpless before
The one who takes hold and controls
I am her with the strength to take that which you long to give
The control to give that which you yearn to take
I am he who you will build your world around
I am the one who the burning fires in your soul can sate
But what I offer is not forced my dear
For at any moment you are free if you wish to depart
What I offer must be given and accepted in the same way
As gifts and wtih love from the heart
So follow me child if your heart says you must
Thought I warn you the road is a long bitter run
But the pleasures that road offers are like few on this earth
To accept that both the rose and the thorn are parts of one"
She called out to him as the darkness did gather
There in the last fading light of the sun
"You know of my dreams, my hidden untold desires
But how is it that you know that it is you in my dreams I run?"
The Master stopped, turned and smiled
And said with a voice like silk upon fresh cream
"Sweet child" he said witha tear in his eye
I know it is because it is about you that I dream"
