Broken Trust

The young Dom sat under the starry sky
His eyes bloodshot and filled with tears
And thought back upon the events of the night
How close he had come to harming one he held so dear
A scene in which he had been inexperienced
And so had gone unspeakably wrong
He held his head low in shame and guilt
Cursing himself in a manner both foul and long
The old Dom sat down beside him on the bench
Outside the ER parking lot
Weathered and old not unlike the leather he wore
But when he saw his face and heard the sobs
He knew too well what was this young man's thoughts
"The Doctor said she will be alright"
He said to the teary eyed man
Who looked up, smiled and again hung his head low
Once more the curses and tears anew began
"This is all my fault" he spoke through his tears
"It was I who made the mistake
The scene went too far, I should have called it to a halt
She continued to give but I had no right to take"
The old grey haired Dom sighed but had to agree
For indeed an error had been made this night
A line has been crossed and blood has been shed
Both men longed to somehow make this wrong right
"She is a submissive" he said with a sigh
"One who of her own desire serves on proud bended knee
With love and respect and most of all trust
And of that trust it is the Dom who must worthy be
It must be your voice, your authority, that says what is allowed
And upon what grounds in love for her you refuse to tread
For in her love a submissive will go where angels dare not
To please her Master which is both her meat and bread
As Doms we must control them on serveral levels at once
For their thoughts, emotions and actions accept responsibility
We dare not loose that control
Or for an instant allow our attention to stray
For a shameful harvest is reaped that bitter seed
This time you were lucky" smiled the Dom as he rose from his seat
"And from this night I pray you will learn
The fault matters now for the error was yours
Now your submissive's trust you must again earn"
As the old Dom sighed one last time and turned to go
One question yet hung on the young man's lips
For to the lifestyle he was new yet his hunger was deep
And he knew that the old man's knowledge and experience
Did a thousand times his own eclipse
"You are known and respected" he called out to the man's back
"And I am fresh to the life as mid morning dew
You give voice to my thoughts as few others could
I must know how was it you knew?"
The old Dom stopped and hung his head low
Without turning spoke the words that from his soul wrenched
"Young brother" he said with a tear in his eye
"How do you think I knew where to find that bench?"
