Enrico Soekarno is an Indonesian Artist born in June 1966. Although by training he is a film maker and has made several music videos and documentaries, attended the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome and took a C.E.P in Theories of Revolutions at the University of Sydney, he is probably more well known for his black & white ink drawings and book illustrations.
He has had numerous exhibitions; paintings, drawings, etchings and photographs, and participated in various multi media performances; in Europe, Australia and Asia.
He has illustrated and designed book covers for Indonesia's most celebrated author, Pramoedya Ananta Toer.
Presently he is working on a book titled Tibet Di Otak, to be published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama. This book will feature some of his most recent black & white ink drawings and photographs, along with the photographs of 5 friends who went to Tibet with him last year.
