We are the Grand Forks AFB Enlisted Spouses Club and would like to introduce you to our small, but friendly area. Meeting people is very important in getting settled in a move, and we would like to encourage you to come and meet us and perhaps join us. Despite the cold winters here, we do our best to look out for each others needs, and offer support when loved ones are gone or when other emergencies happen. Our meetings are held September through May. Locations are normally at the CAC, Community Activities Center, but can change if that is not available. Our ESC contributes to a pot-luck dinner due to our meeting times. Please don't feel obligated to bring something if you can't. But if you do, bring your favorite dish or dessert. The ESC supplies beverages and tableware. For meeting times and location, please consult our website or on cable Channel 3. With cutbacks, we no longer have a paper that is delivered to your door, all news is online at the public website. See our links page for base and area information. We like to help out where needed, so we work with different organizations on and off base. Two being the thrift store and Airmen's Attic. We do some fundraising, those funds help provide enlisted dependents for upper educational scholarships and support for other charitable organizations. We try to have a relaxed atmosphere so we offer child playtime during our gatherings with supervision in the next room if they need it. No one needs to feel like they have to bring something to enjoy themselves at our meetings, just come as you are and feel welcome! Sometimes we offer speakers that offer different things that will help our lives as spouses or just some good information about the base and it's organizations on it. These are usually not long, but can be very beneficial. Dues are equal to $2.00 per meeting for a total of nine social meetings in the ESC year, or $18.00 for the full amount. Dues can be paid in three ways, five months for $10, nine months for $18, or prorated if you are new or leaving our base. Please note that their is a free meeting so you can check us out, but you can always donate the $2 for that meeting if you want. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you at our next meeting.
