Love: Love is the most powerful intangible object that exists. If you love and feel loved you are intoxicated, no drug can make you feel better or even parallel to it. However if love turns sour, it can destroy you and leave you broken beyond repair.
Religion: It is a distinct possibilty that religions were created to answer the questions we couldn't fathom, with the exception of Budhism. The whole system is based upon faith. Faith in the readings. Faith in the God(s). Faith in what you are told. You don't question it, to do so is to show lack of faith. Here's an example. How was the universe created? God made it! Simple isn't it? It feels like you are a child again and you want to go out and play but your parents won't let you. "Why can't I go out?" you say, to which they reply "because we said so!". To question the reasoning is to question the higher power. And as we know, if you do that you get a smacked wrist lol.
Happiness: We all yearn for happiness in this world. However, doesn't the experience of suffering validate our very existence? At times it seems we expect a better deal out of life, when really there is no reason for this. When I was a depressive my strength was that better days were on the horizon. I wanted to be happy of course, however I yearned more to be content. Why? Because I'm a realist. If you expect every day to be a picnic in the sunshine then get out your knives, I've got a big shock for you. Life is just that, life. It has highs and lows but most of the time it just sags there right in the middle.
Hatred: Paralleled only by love as the most powerful intangible object. Hatred breeds all of lifes evils in some way. War is spawned by hate. Racism is spawned by hate and so on. They say the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing people he doesn't exist. I'm not sure if such a force exists, however the biggest threat to us all seems to be this "it won't happen to me" syndrome. Our eyes are blinkered from the horrors of this Earth until it is shoved down our throats by the media. How many of us knew Afghanistan was ruled by an evil group of extremists known as the Taliban? Ignorance seems to be the fodder of hate in most cases. That brings me onto my next point.....
