| My name is Thuris, it means Thorn in the old language of the Norse people of Urth. I have been known by other names, but I am Thuris now. I am of the world of Gor now, my past is my own. I am a Warrior of the "Red Caste". I am a Man of few words, my actions speak for themselves. I carry the Sword Hagal, it is my family heritage. It has seen battle more often than One might wish to count. I have little patience with those who wish to make a game or drama of the world of Gor, and even less patience with those wishing to harm My friends, family, Home, or property. I believe that Family are those we meet along the journey of our lives that touch our hearts and I believe that that Family is more important than the stones of a Home. Friendship is stronger than steel, more valuable than gold. I returned to Gor alone, in recent past, traveling from lands beyond imagination. I had no home, no place to rest my head, so I went to the home of my Brother to reside with him for a time. I met a girl there, My girl now, her name has changed several times yet she remains My most valued property. We have been through many trials, have overcome many obstacles and still the deep love we share has never dissipated in any way. I own her completely, body, mind and soul, and she does not question Me. A Thorn is not complete without a rose, nor a rose without a Thorn. I have found the rose that belongs to me. I am fair and kind to those that are respectful, I do not judge others on their past or by what others say about them. I came to Tamber with nothing to offer but the presence of myself and my beast, we were welcomed as lost Family and taken in. We are truly at Home there, between old and new friends. "The wise Warrior knows when to strike, but most of all knows when not to strike. There is no honour in pointless bloodshed or the boast of a kill of women, children or slaves. Let your mind be free of rage, know your goal and steady your hand. Strike if you must, yet strike without a second thought. Be a Master, be a Teacher, be a Warrior, be a Fool, be a Poet, be all that at the right time and you shall prosper." |
