When i sleep each night it is your face i see, your touch i feel, your warmth close by my side.
i feel your breath on my face, your hand on my cheek,
i hear your voice cry my name, i don't want to sleep if you are not by my side.
my eyes close and take me over the long expanse to be with you,
i can see you and i together again, i know it is real because i can feel your embrace,
i feel your heart beat, i hear your whispered words, i don't want to sleep if i can not wake to your touch.
i know when i wake you will not be there, i reach out my hands praying but knowing i will not feel your touch.
In my heart i know your love, what a beautiful feeling it is, knowing soon i will be with you once again.
