| The show started off backstage where Hostile Intent cut a promo claiming that they meant business. Steve Farrell went on to proclaim that Meltdown number four was a very special show because it is GBH appreciation night. GBH went on to send yet another message to Sparxx saying that if he was to make it to Live and Learn he would 'snap' him. Paul Kilbane, The Hag Man and Jimmy King introduced the show hyping that it is only one week until EWE's first ever PPV Live and Learn. They talked about how last week X-Con came in as the new commissioner and how Osiris had brought Jimmy Burch in to EWE. They then mentioned that tonight it was all or nothing for Sparxx as he goes in to his third and final challenge in a bid to face GBH at Live and Learn. The announcers then said that tonight's featured bout was tag team action as Jimmy Burch and Mikey Wreckage team up to take on Hostile Intent members GBH and Steve Farrell! Pyro Vs. Crowcain Vs. El Diablo <Triple Threat Match> The match started without Crowcain as Pyro and Diablo instantly went at it with a technical display of wrestling. When Crowcain entered he just watched the Spanish sensation and Pyro go at it for a little while before getting involved. Threw out the match there were a number of double moves hit, first of all Pyro and Diablo double teamed Crowcain but then Diablo and Crowcain hit a devastating double move where Crowcain power bombed Pyro while Diablo held Pyro's head and sat out. At one point Diablo used a chair in front of the referee but he was not disqualified despite the fact last week X-Con toughened up the rules in EWE. After a hard fought contest Pyro downed Crowcain with a styles clash on to a steel chair but the pin was broke by Diablo. Minutes later Diablo hit Pyro with his tiger bomb and picked up the three count for the win. Winner - El Diablo (pinfall) Commissioner X-Con made his way out to the ring with a big ovation from the crowd. He congratulated Wreckless on his victory against him last week thanking him for one hell of a match. The Commish said that at Live and Learn he was going to sanction a Junkyard match for the EWE Hardcore title. A junkyard match is where all competitors are in a perimeter full of weapons and to win you have to escape the junkyard. He then went on to say he owed Osiris an apology for the way he had treat him and as a peace offering he would like to offer him the post of Chief of Staff. Osiris came out and accepted the job and even got X-Con to do the 'beach is that way' taught with him. Backstage Matt Wright once again walked in on his girlfriend Cassie and Mikey Wreckage chatting. Wright looked angry and grabbed Cassie by her throat but Wreckage stepped in and pushed Wright away. Matt Wright backed off and said in a sarcastic voice that he would see the two lovers at the PPV in a handicapped match! Richard Carey walked in to X-Cons office and told the Commish that he had a match so needed someone to look after his two little brothers. X-Con said he would do it just this once and Carey thanked him and left to prepare for the match. X-Con stood wondering just where the kids he was meant to be baby sitting were when suddenly a kid appeared from under his desk and another from behind his wall. They were blowing party blowers similar to X-Cons and the Commish just could not control them, so he started to throw clappers and medals at them saying there were 'good for them'. Richard Carey Vs. Tyrant Before the match got underway the pair shook hands in a good show of sportsmanship. The match got underway with a lovely technical display where both men exchanged holds to try and get the upper hand. Carey coped well in there with the more experienced Tyrant and managed to connect with his trademark code red and later hit his frog splash from the top of the ladder. Despite Carey's effort he was caught out and received Tyrant's trademark scissor kick. After the scissor kick Tyrant went up high and connected with the Swanton bomb, he then made the cover. Winner - Tyrant (pinfall) After the match Steve Farrell hit the ring from the crowd creeping up from behind and piledrivered Tyrant seriously hurting the young star's neck. Farrell watched on as a few people entered the ring to see if Tyrant was ok but it didn't look good as he just clinched on holding his neck in a lot of distress. Meanwhile in the Commissioners office the kids carried on giving X-Con a hard time as they jumped on his back-clapping clappers in his face. New chief of staff Osiris walked in on the mayhem and told X-Con to sort out the chaos in the office. X-Con ordered Osiris to go and find Richard Carey to take his brothers back. Osiris had other ideas and he lost his temper and begun to chase the two little brats. Osiris Vs. Wreckless <Manix is special guest referee> These two guys have wrestled against each other for years, as they were both members of NMW. During the match Wreckless tried to keep Osiris down using a number of his trademark suplexes and also connected with a few back breakers making it clear he was working on the back of Osiris. Osiris was battling threw it and kept trying to connect with his trademark sweet chin music only for it to be blocked. The match dragged on and Osiris nearly had it won when he connected with his one-armed slam rock bottom but he wasted too much time on making the cover. Both men were tired and Wreckless connected with his diving head butt and made the cover but just before the three count Manix pulled his hand back and stood up. Manix then proceeded to hit Wreckless with his time crisis move allowing Osiris to get the pinfall. Everyone was wondering why Manix did that but it was soon made clear as Crowcain came out to the ring dressed in hooded duffel. Crowcain and Manix embraced and Crowcain stood over Wreckless and said 'I know your every move I will see you at the PPV' Winner - Osiris (pinfall) Richard Carey went in to the commissioners office to collect his two little brothers only to find they were both unconscious with cans of alcohol in there hands. X-Con said Carey owed him fifty pounds for the baby-sitting service but Carey refused to pay because his little brothers were out cold. X-Con said that as punishment Carey would take part in the junkyard match at the ppv. Jimmy King interviewed Sparxx ahead of his final challenge.. Sparxx said he was confident he would get to Live and Learn to face GBH because nothing so far has stopped him. Sparxx Vs. Matt Wright & Crowcain & El Diablo <Gauntlet Match> Sparxx first of all to take on Matt Wright and it was an even contest at first but Wright slowly began to control the match. After distributing some punishment out to Sparxx he hit two pedigrees in a row on him. Suddenly Mikey Wreckage ran in and low blowed the evil Wright and Cassie then suplexed her ex boyfriend. Wreckage then hit an elbow drop and Sparxx struggled over to Wright and made a pin, one down with two to go. Crowcain hit the ring next and began to brawl with Sparxx but after a few minutes the bad loser Matt Wright hit the ring again and elbow dropped Sparxx surely giving Crowcain the upper hand. That was not the case and Sparxx showed his true fighting spirit as he fought back and forced Crowcain to tap out by locking him in a one single legged Boston crab. El Diablo was next to hit the ring and Sparxx knew he was just one win away from his title shot at Live and Learn. These two went straight at it and the action was back and fourth, Diablo hit a sit out bomb and Sparxx replied with a piledriver. Sparxx countered with a awesome shining wizard and then climbed up high and downed Diablo with the money shot, Sparxx picked up the three count and is on his way to Live and Learn. Winner - Sparxx Backstage senior referee Jim Hebner checked on Tyrant asking him if he was fit enough to face Steve Farrell at Live and Learn. Tyrant while still tightly holding his neck in pain said that he would be going to the PPV and would beat Steve Farrell cleanly. Featured Match GBH & 'Nature Boy' Steve Farrell Vs. Jimmy Burch & Mikey Wreckage Farrell and Burch started off and it took a little while before they eventually locked up but it was worth the wait as Burch over powered Farrell and threw him back. GBH and Wreckage soon went at it with some technical work but the odds were against Wreckage as the Hostile Intent due kept making illegal moves to double team Wreckage. The Nature Boy took it to Burch and unloaded with a trademark shin breaker and some chops. The match continued to go in favour of Hostile Intent as Farrell distracted the referee while GBH choked Wreckage with his wrist wraps. Burch again was on form and delivered a suplex shoulder breaker to GBH and then threw Farrell from the ladders. It looked to be over when Wreckage downed GBH with his modified STO but it wasn't enough and soon GBH responded with an emerald fusion but again that was not enough. After a top tag team contest Steve Farrell turned around only to be knocked out by Burch's super kick, Burch then hit a standing frog splash and pinned Farrell for the victory. Winners - Jimmy Burch & Mikey Wreckage (pinfall) A table was placed in the ring and Steve Farrell and GBH after the tag team defeat hosted GBH Appreciation night. They claimed the tag team match was a fluke and that is the only reason they lost. They give the crowd the chance to show how much they appriated GBH but were met by a number of boos. Farrell and GBH then toasted a Pepsi but Sparxx then ran in and split Farrell's head open with a chair shot and then proceeded to smash GBH over the head with the chair. Sparxx walked off happy with what he had done as Live and Learn edges closer. |
