| Paul Kilbane and Jimmy King introduced the 16th edition of EWE Meltdown TV. Kilbane hyped up the shows main event which was set to be a UK Championship title match where Sparxx would defend against EWE new boy Misco. The two announcers then recapped what went down at Royal Rumble last week when NAW Champion Titan won the rumble and then faced GBH in a EWE Championship match. Titan lost meaning GBH is now in his sixth month of being the champion. Titan then made his way out on to the isle way holding a microphone. He started to swear at the fans telling them to shut up as he then begun to very angrily claim that he was screwed out of the title in his match with GBH at royal rumble. The NAW champion then started to cool off and calmly said that the way EWE was being run was the feds down fall and a few others backstage felt the same. Out to make a statement to EWE, Titan then left on that note, leaving everyone wondering who these 'others' backstage were. X-Con was seen sitting on a seat backstage ready for his first training session with his new teacher Steve Farrell. The Nature Boy arrived and told X-Con to take his shoes off because the souls were hanging off. The Commish took his shoes off only to disgrace Farrell more as his socks were full of big holes. However the training session finally started and Farrell taught X-Con how to do a collar and elbow tie up, after demonstrating it three times, X-Con finally got the hang of it and to celebrate he started to run around waving his arms. Poor Steve Farrell was wondering what he did to deserve the job of being X-con's teacher but he continued and showed the Commish how to lock on a headlock from a tie up. Havoc and Richard Carey of the Dark Carnival made there way out to the ring. Havoc took the Microphone and said that he was out there to introduce the newest member of the Dark Carnival. Without further a due he introduced Cassie as the newest member, the ex girlfriend of Rage then made her way out wearing the Dark Carnival face paint. Richard Carey then snatched the microphone from Havoc and said that he had been thinking a lot lately. To the crowds surprise Carey suddenly hit an RKO on Havoc and begun to shove Cassie uttering the words 'fuck dark carnival'. Ozzy Mayhem then rushed out to the ring to try and sort out this mess between his fellow teammates. Ozzy and Carey then started pushing each other, as Ozzy asked Carey what was up with his head. Mayhem then reminded the rookie Carey that it was Dark Carnival that for him where he is today. This all resulted in Ozzy challenging Richard Carey to a hardcore match there and then, Carey with his cocky new attitude accepted. Richard Carey Vs. Ozzy Mayhem <Hardcore Match> A hardcore start to Meltdown saw these two former team mates give each other all they had to try and make a point. They locked up and Carey then instantly resorted to cheap tactics as he low blowed Ozzy only making him angrier. Ozzy though was pumped with adrenaline and hit back with a clothesline and a big snap suplex. Mayhem showing his hardcore side then bashed Carey's head in to the steel ladders and started to hit him across the back with a mop stick. Ozzy nearly won early on after a pulling piledriver on to a road sign but Carey battled back and kicked out on two. Carey got to his feet and handed a steel sign to Ozzy and told him to hit him, Ozzy unloaded with a number of shots to the head but Carey just stood there. The rookie then took the sign from Mayhem and unleashed some shots to the head of his own. After Ozzy Mayhem connected with a tornado DDT from the ladders the match spilled to the outside. The two ended up on the stack of crates and Ozzy sent Carey crashing on to the wood with a brain buster. Minutes later the two battlers were back in the ring and Ozzy pulled out a table and set it up. In a very dangerous stunt, Ozzy proceeded to dragon suplex Carey threw the table but it still was not enough to finish him off. The match then went back and fourth and Carey connected with a Swanton but then Ozzy caught the young rookie out and downed him with an MKO. Before Ozzy could make the cover though he was kicked in the back of the head by a hooded man who then placed Carey's arm over Ozzy. The referee counted to three and the hooded man revealed himself as non-other then Titan. Titan then helped Carey to his feet and the two embraced and shook hands before leaving together. Winner - Richard Carey (pinfall) Backstage an angry Sparxx demanded that Alexander A Loveless told him what Dark Carnival said when they kidnapped him. Sparxx grabbed Loveless and again asked what they said but Loveless responded by telling Sparxx he couldn't say. The UK champion became more angry and Loveless told him to back off and he would tell him. Sparxx backed off and Loveless then told his client that Ozzy Mayhem wants to take him on at Great British Bash in a buried alive match, Sparxx seemed shocked and just walked off. Ian Loveless w/Ed of Security Vs. Reverend Creepy This match was for the amusement of General Manager Ian Loveless so that he could make an example of one of the guests who attended the Royal Rumble. Creepy was the victim and had the odds stacked against him from the start as Ed was getting involved from the outside on a number of occasions. The match started in unorthodox fashion as Creepy unloaded on Ian Loveless with his bible. The match went back and fourth but whenever Creepy came out on top Ed of Security would get involved while the GM distracted the referee. At one point in the match Creepy locked on a sleeper hold but Loveless quickly countered it with a chin breaker. Loveless again then distracted the referee while Ed came in the ring and scoop slammed Creepy. The Reverend fought back though and the referee ended up being knocked over so Creepy took full advantage of the situation. In a sickening scene Creepy pulled out a penknife and slashed the head of the disliked General Manager. Ed then ran in the ring and downed Creepy with the Dangerous Decapitation and Ian with blood dripping from his head then hit a gut wrench ddt before picking up the three count from the dazed referee. Winner - Ian Loveless (pinfall) The cameras went backstage to X-Con's training session and Steve Farrell was lying on the floor with X-Con jumping up and down over him. Farrell asked what Con was doing and the happy Commish responded with 'Tyrant Spiral tap'. The Naitch jumped to his feet and told X-Con he was not going to be doing a Tyrant spiral tap. Costa then walked in on the pair and put his arm around a very displeased Steve Farrell. The cocky former ECW champion mentioned that X-Con was one half of the tag team champions but had not defended the titles since winning them. This lead on to Costa saying he had a tag team partner and then challenging X-Con and Crowcain to a tag team title match. A hyped X-Con accepted the challenge despite Steve Farrell warning him against it. Costa & Rage Vs. Crowcain & X-Con w/Steve Farrell <EWE Tag Titles> Crowcain and X-Con were jumped from behind up on entering by Costa. Costa then brought out his tag team partner and it was non other than the EWE cruiserweight champion Rage. The match started in true brawl fashion with Costa pounding on X-Con and Rage exchanging right hand shots with Crowcain. The four competitors eventually ended up in the ring where the match officially got underway. Costa started the match with X-Con where he stomped down on him before making a quick tag to Rage. Rage was over confident and slipped up allowing X-Con to lock him in a tight side headlock. X-Con then took Rage down with a slam and locked on a single legged Boston crab but the cruiserweight champion found the ropes and tagged in his partner. Crowcain then tagged in and Costa being as cocky as ever demanded Darrell tied his hands behind his back before wrestling Crowcain. Dodgy market dealer Crowcain took down Costa with a clothesline then UN tied his hands as X-Con then unloaded with some knife-edge chops. However X-Con's little run was soon stopped by Rage who delivered a snap suplex to the Commish. The match went on and eventually Costa went up high and connected with the orange bomb but remarkably Crowcain managed to kick out. Moments later Costa pulled out some whipped cream and squirted it in the face of X-Con but the Commish responded by taken Costa down. X-Con then was about to hit the rolling thunder but Costa sat up and smashed the Con in the head with a steel chain thus knocking him out. He then made a cover and the referee made the three count as Costa and Rage were crowned new EWE Tag team champions. Winners - Costa & Rage (pinfall) After the match Richard Carey and Titan joined Costa and Rage in the ring. The four men them embraced and shook hands as this new force in EWE created by Titan seemed to be getting stronger and stronger. MAIN EVENT - EWE UK Championship Match Sparxx w/Alexander A Loveless Vs. Misco Sparxx was the bigger man in this match and tried to use that to his advantage by intimidating Misco. The two went face to face before locking up but when they eventually did Sparxx over powered the EWE new boy. Surprisingly though Misco managed to stay on the same page as Sparxx threw out the match and had spells of domination. At one point he even hit his de ja vu trademark move but that still could not finish off the dead man who was showing an even more aggressive style to his character since finding out about Ozzy Mayhem's buried alive challenge. However Misco should resilience and just would not stay down no matter what Sparxx threw at him, Misco wanted the UK title and was out to prove just how much he wanted it. Unfortunately Sparxx was one step ahead and after a great effort from both men Misco attempted a flying head scissors but Sparxx blocked it and connected with his Tombstone, which is enough to finish anyone off. A three count followed and once again Sparxx was victorious and immediately left the ring area. Winner - Sparxx (pinfall) It was not over for Misco though; Titan, Costa and Richard Carey hit the ring and started stomping down on a hurt Misco. Titan grabbed the microphone and said 'this is what I mean by making a statement' as Meltdown went off the air. |
