| The first ever English Wrestling Entertainment show kicked off with the commentary team of Paul Kilbane and the Hag man introducing. Neither had any idea of what was going to take place on the broadcast, all they had been told was that EWE Owner Dave Spielberg had appointed a temporary commissioner to run things, and that he would be addressing the fans very soon. Osiris made his way out with a pop from the crowd and revealed himself as the temporary commissioner appointed by Dave Spielberg. He said that starting tonight there would be a lethal lottery tag team tournament where eventually tag team champions would be crowned. Osiris added that tonight he was also going to select a championship match where the EWE Heavyweight championship would be on the line. Ozzy Mayhem VS. Matt Wright w/Cassie Straight away Matt Wright offered a handshake to Ozzy and as Ozzy went to accept Wright pulled his way back. An intense match followed where Matt Wright showed an aggressive style using a number of impacted moves. At times Mayhem give as good as he got with some vicious stinging kicks to the mid section of Wright. Wright nearly picked up a victory with a perfect northern lights suplex but Ozzy found the power to kick out. Mayhem made a comeback and went up high to hit his trademark Swanton bomb but Wright moves meaning Ozzy got the full impact of the ground. Wright could not keep Mayhem down so held him in front of Cassie who had a chair and demanded she hit Mayhem with the chair, Cassie threw the chair down refusing to hit Mayhem. Wright let go of Mayhem and approached Cassie, after telling her off he turned around only to be caught with Mayhems super kick. Ozzy covered Wright and picked up the three count and a big win. After the match Wright got up and power bombed Ozzy he then hugged Cassie and the couple walked off together. Winner - Ozzy Mayhem (pinfall) Backstage Steve Farrell entered the Byfleet arena and walked past Tyrant. Tyrant greeted Farrell and offered him a handshake. Farrell handed Tyrant his bags and told him to take them away before storming off leaving Tyrant speechless. In the Commissioners office Osiris stood posing with the title belt when Mikey Wreckage walked in on him. Wreckage asked if he was involved in the title plans for later in the show and Osiris said that he wasnt. After some trademark joking around from the temporary commissioner he offered Wreckage a number one contenders match with Maverick where the winner would go on to face the new champion next week on Meltdown. Wreckage was happy with the plan and left the office to prepare for his big match. Maverick VS. Mikey Wreckage <NO.1. Contenders match> Wreckage ran straight at Maverick and the pair exchanged blows to the head with closed fists. Both men struggled to lift each other as they were evenly sized but something had to give and it did when Maverick used all his strength to sit out powerbomb Wreckage nearly grabbing a win. Maverick continued his assault on Wreckage and took him down once again using an arm drag takedown. The crowd were behind Wreckage and it helped him make a comeback and he came close to a win after a northern lights suplex and a big standing splash. Both men after a tough hard fought contest were tired and Wreckage went up high after hitting his STO and connected with a big elbow drop, it was enough for the three count and a shot at whoever is champion next week. Winner - Mikey Wreckage (pinfall) 'Nature Boy' Steve Farrell and Wreckless made there way out to the ring and Farrell started to bad mouth the EWE roster claiming that the up and comers were all just a bunch of no marks unlike himself and Wreckless who are veterans. Farrell said there was one guy who had impressed him and is championship material and that man was GBH. GBH made his way out and Farrell told him he was da man and that he should easily be the EWE Heavyweight champion. The Nature Boy then told the story about a guy with long hair greeting him earlier upon entering the arena. Tyrant made his way out and grabbed the Mic saying that he deserves a chance in the spotlight but Farrell called him a no mark and Tyrant responded by slapping Farrell in the face, only to be jumped from behind by GBH and Wreckless. The three stomped on Tyrant but Sparxx ran out to help the new up comer only to also be attacked by the three. Wreckless told Sparxx he would later see him in the ring to teach him a lesson for putting his nose in their business. Richard Carey & Crowcain VS. Osiris & Manix <Lethal Lotto Tag Match 1> This match started off at a slow pace with all four men getting a sniff of action with each other. Things soon started to get fast and Richard Carey the rookie found himself on the receiving end of the pure power on display by Manix. Osiris then used his experience to try and show Crowcain up and it worked, Crowcain then felt the wrath of an impacted Manix back breaker. The rookie duo did mount a comeback later on in the match when Carey reversed a powerbomb from Manix in to a hurricarana and followed it up with a code red. The match soon spilled out of control and the referee could not control it as all four men went to the outside. Manix ended up powerbombing Carey in to a ditch full of nettles and then went on to cradle piledriver Crowcain on to some wooden crates. Osiris then pulled Crowcain back to the ring and finished the dazed young guy off with a sweet chin music. Manix and Osiris celebrated advancing to the next round. Winners Osiris & Manix (pinfall) In the Commissioners office Steve Farrell and GBH approached Osiris and asked the temporary Commish if he would just hand GBH the title belt. Osiris said that Farrell should know better then anyone that a champion has to earn his title. He said that he would however put GBH in the title match later in the show. Farrell and GBH started to guess who the opponent would be naming guys like Carey and Crowcain, Osiris announced that his opponent was none other then Tyrant! GBH and Naitch left not too happy. Someone was filming Wreckless from behind a bush as he prepared for his match with Sparxx, it was like a horror movie scene with heavy breathing the only thing being heard. Wreckless VS. Sparxx The pair started with a nice technical combination where Wreckless attempted to hit his capture suplex only for it to be blocked and for Sparxx to sweep the legs of his opponent. The match was pretty evenly matched with both men trying there hardest to keep the other down, but both men felt the adrenaline and that is what kept them from staying down. Wreckless came close to the win from a fishermans suplex and a release German suplex. Wreckless had worked on the back of Sparxx and continued to when he hit an elbow drop from the top of the ladder straight on to Sparxxs back, he followed this up by locking him in the sharpshooter. Sparxx battled back after missing a moonsault and sit out power bombed Wreckless off the pile of wooden crates sending the crowd wild. This was not enough to keep Wreckless down so Sparxx soon after went up high and connected with the money shot. He made the cover but GBH ran in and pulled Sparxx off Wreckless and hit the emerald fusion. This allowed Wreckless to put his arm over Sparxx and pick up the three count, GBH and Wreckless celebrated the victory. Winner Wreckless (pinfall) Backstage Plague walked past El Diablo and approached the Birdy look a like Pyro. Plague told him that they had been drawn as a team in the lethal lotto tournament and would be in action next week. He said that he was up for it and he felt they could win the tournament and become tag team champions. Pyro agreed and the pair shook hands. MAIN EVENT EWE Heavyweight Championship Match Tyrant VS. GBH w/Steve Farrell The championship match started with a intense tie up followed by GBH applying a tight headlock on the young up and comer. The pair then started to knock each other down with shoulder blocks but to no avail, Tyrant took GBH down eventually with aside kick to the face. From that point on this match was a great championship match with both men doing there very best to be crowned the first ever EWE Heavyweight champion. During the match GBH used a number of different submission holds to try and force Tyrant to tap out while Tyrant took it to GBH with his usual fast paced technical style. With Farrell screaming on at GBH to win the match, GBH used Farrells trademark chops and figure four but even the figure four wouldnt make Tyrant tap. The crowd were getting more and more behind Tyrant and were constantly being told to shut up by both GBH and the Nature Boy! Later in the match after Tyrant nailed a red star press the pair made their way up on to the stack of wooden crates and GBH leaped up on to Tyrants shoulders and connected with a hurricarana off the crates. It still would not keep Tyrant down but soon after they were both up high again and this time it was GBH on the receiving end of Tyrant michinoku driver. That looked to be in and Tyrant made the cover but just before the three count Steve Farrell pulled the referee away by his leg. Tyrant got up and went for Farrell who started to back away and while his attentions were on the Nature Boy, GBH came from behind and locked on his submission the GBache forcing Tyrant to tap out. Steve Farrell handed GBH the title belt and raised the arm of the first ever EWE Heavyweight champion. Winner GBH (Submission) |
