Chelsea Favorites To Lift The Title
Today the bookies have made Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side favorites to lift this years EFM Premiership title, with players such as John Terry, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Andrei Shevchenko, Ashley Cole and many more big stars, this comes as no surprise to the football loving supporters. It will not be easy for Chelsea however, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool will also be aiming to lift the title above their heads come the end of the season, today the EFM chief executive David Penniall told Skysports News: - 'There is a lot of healthy competition for the Premiership title this year, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and you can never rule them out Liverpool will all be hoping to lift the title above their head. 'The Champions Chelsea have spent a lot of money in the summer and I expect them to spend a bit more before the premiership season starts, it will be a very big season for Jose as it's surely a must win the title season, if they don't then he could be looking for a new job...
'Manchester United have a great side and a deadly combination in Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo, when they link up together, there's no-one in the world who can stop them, they're amazing. They have the youth, in those to and the experience is need in Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville,, they've all won the title before and will be egger to win it again. ''Arsenal haven't been the same since Patrick Vieira left the club, but in a new ground it will be time for new hero's, can Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas or any others manage to become the first hero at the Emirates, can they begin life at a new ground with a trophy? Could well be their year. Liverpool could be the suiprise package this season but we always say that don't we, they've been so close but yet so far on so many occasions in the past, Steven Gerrard would love to add a Premiership title to the FA Cup and Champions League trophys that he has lifted above his head in the past.' |
