Mrs. Dell, Middlesex, writes:
What are your views on the textbook for pupils aged 11 to 14, entitled, "Minds and Machines 1750 - 1900"?
EFM reply:
This textbook totally ignores the heroes who helped build the British Empire. In history there are many heroes and victims - history is history. This textbook creates a distorted view of the past. This government is so concerned with leading children into making superficial and moral judgements - why? You cannot reinvent history and pretend it is history. History books were designed to equip people with knowledge. This textbook, in our view, is not suitable for schools.

Mr. Carpenter. West Midland. e mail:
Why was the EFM formed?
EFM reply:
In our view, the English nation is overtaxed, overregulated, overconditioned and overcensored, in a "politically correct" straitjacket. This government totally ignores the interests of the English people, who, incidentally, are the overwhelming vast majority.

Mr. Richards, Liverpool, writes:
What would you do about overtaxation on smokers, drinkers and drivers?
EFM reply:
We would reduce all three down to French levels. This would immediately reduce smuggling, ( at a cost of £2.5 billion to the country ) give our people a better deal and help our manufacturers and retailers.

Miss Saunders. Lancashire. e mail:
Where does the EFM stand on the asylum seekers issue?
EFM reply:
Asylum seekers - who pays?
An estimated 200,000 are living in England on benefit, either in council houses, bed and breakfast, hotels or in centres. The estimated cost is £600 a week to house each applicant. Some have waited years for a decision, a further 126,000 whose applications have failed, are thought to have gone to ground. In the meantime we have English OAP's struggling on inadequate pensions, 100,000 homeless, and poverty. One asylum seeker has two council houses, as he has two wives and numerous children. This is a Christian country where generally the law custom and practice is consistent with Christian beliefs. Polygamy is not a part of our culture. The EFM view is that charity begins at home.

Mr. Mitchell. Portsmouth. E mail:
How do you view the press?
EFM reply:
In our view the press do a great job. Without the press and it's accurate assessment of this inept Government, we would all be mushroom people! In particular we single out the following journalists for their sterling work:
Simon Heffer - Daily Mail
Richard Littlejohn - The Sun

Mr. Smart, Bristol, writes:
Are you a racist movement?
EFM reply:
No, we do not judge according to race colour or creed. We do listen, and absorb, what people have to say. We observe, research, evaluate and comment on fact, situations, trends and behavioural patterns.
