| You step inside the
room. You immediately notice that there is a crossbow on a stand,
with an arrow aimed straight at your heart.
"Good thing I didn't trip the wire," you think. Then your foot touches the first floor stone inside the threshhold. Under the weight of your foot, the stone depresses by an inch. "Uh oh," you think. Uh oh is right. The stone, not the tripwire, is what triggers the crossbow. The arrow is released and streaks toward your heart. "Wish I had time to do something," you think. But you don't. Fortunately, however, your inattention has caused your other foot to trip over the tripwire. You fall flat on your face. The arrow whizzes over your head and thupps into the far wall. "Thupps?" you ask. |
