| The dragon gives you
some tea and a crumpet. As he approaches, you notice that he's quite
large and seems to be generating a good deal of body heat. Plus,
he reeks of brimstone, but you're his guest and you don't want to bring
that up if you can avoid it.
"I say," the dragon says. "Would you like that crumpet toasted?" "No," you reply, "it's quite fine the way it is, thank-you." Smoke exudes from his nostrils. His eyes glow red, and then in a harsh voice he bellows: "It really wouldn't be any problem at all to toast it!" A tongue of flame lances from his mouth straight at the crumpet you have in your hand. You immediately toss the crumpet away -- but the stupid flame just keeps on headiing right toward you! |
