Attention Coaches:
We would like to cordially invite you to the 2008 Engineer
Games track and field invitational held at the Robison Field House on the
campus of R.P.I. in
INSTRUCTIONS
1. The weight throw begins promptly at
2. By submitting the entry cards, the coach
verifies that the time/height/distance has been achieved at a regular indoor
track and field meet during this indoor season. We will be using the TCITL Leaderboard to help with the seeding of events. If you are
coming from out of the TCITL, please email us a copy of your Section/League's Leaderboard to assist with seeding.
3. NO SPIKES are allowed in the Robison Gym.
If an athlete is found wearing spikes he/she will be disqualified.
4. STARTING BLOCKS may be used for the 45
meter dash and 50 meter hurdles provided there is a pad underneath them. Blocks
WILL NOT be provided. Teams will need to bring their
own starting blocks and pads to protect the track.
5. Trophies will be awarded to the FIRST and
SECOND place teams for boys and girls. Medals will be awarded for places FIRST
through SIXTH places in all events including the weight throw. A reminder that
the weight throw is a NON-SCORING event for team purposes.
6. No athlete may compete in more than three
events.
7. Each school is allowed one entry in an
event regardless of seed. If a school wishes to enter more than one athlete in
an event, ALL athletes must meet the qualifying standard for that
event in a bonafide indoor meet this season or the
unqualified athlete must be a wildcard. Please do not use times or distances
from outdoor track, 2006-2007 indoor track, time trials, practice times, or
non-sanctioned meets. In addition, please do not use conversions for races over
55 meters.
8. Each school is allowed four (4) wildcard
entries for the meet. That is, four wildcards for the boys AND four wildcards
for the girls. Please write WILD CARD and the entry card.
9. In the shot put each competitor will have
four (4) throws. In the weight throw each competitor will have three (3)
throws. In the long and triple jumps each athlete will have four (4) jumps.
There will NOT be separate finals in ANY field event.
10. For the 45 meter dash and the 50 meter
hurdles please seed athletes by using 55 meter dash and 55 meter hurdle times.
11. For teams outside the TCITL, please
submit a check or voucher for entry fees payable to the Tri-Country Indoor Track
League. Pay only for the entries you have at the meet. If you pay a
team blanket fee, your entries will be governed by the instructions below. If
you pay for individual entries, your entries will be governed by the
instructions above and your paid entries. You will need to email us your roster by
January 30th. We will enter your athletes into our database and assign
your athletes competitor numbers. We will then email you your roster with
competitor numbers. These numbers need to be placed on ALL entry cards next to the

12. Coaches, PLEASE ask your team to sit in
the bleachers or on the outside of the track where events are not occurring.
13. The long jump, triple jump, and shot put
will be FLIGHTED.
14. Awards will be available once an event’s
results are announced and posted. Please pick up awards as soon as possible to help keep the area less hectic.
15. Coaches, athletes, and parents are NOT
permitted in the FAT area. The finish line should be kept clear to allow the
meet to run smoothly.
