KNOWING CHRIST HELPS TO KNOW OURSELVES

As Moses neared the Burning Bush with curiosity,he

learnt"that taking off his sandals, meant he was going

to start a new "walk" with God,on Holy Ground, for which

he would need to abandon all his other worldly goods(shoes

and all)!

Moses,a probable heir to Egypt's throne, thus

became a "nobody"to this world, for doing God's will.

HE IDENTIFIED HIS POSITION ONCE HE IDENTIFIED GOD!

Among Jesus' disciples, we see differing attitudes.

Thomas, we know, was a DOUBTER, needing convincing

proof to believe.

Peter was a STRUGGLER; walking over waves, then

sinking, the next moment; displaying highs and lows in

his faith.

Yet, when he identified Jesus as the

MESSIAH, Jesus did not say,"Yes,I am!",but He

said,"Blessed are "you",Peter...!"

Peter found his

identity, when He identified Christ; as this wisdom needed the

guidance of the Holy Spirit, which meant his life had a

new dimension!

Mary Magdalene, a close friend of Christ, had been

healed of seven demons, before. She too had her

doubts (like the other disciples). On that first Easter

morn, three questions traverse her mind:

*Who will roll away the stone?

 *Who has taken His body?

*Where have You laid Him (if You know where they have

taken Him?)

Yet she displayed the qualities of a LEARNER.She

called Him "Rabboni(teacher)", after she was called by

her own name. She was the first missionary of

Christ, soon after!

Note that Mary's physical eyes could not see Jesus

standing before her,as her mind was filled with doubt.

 John,displays the characteristics of a

BELIEVER.Always upon Jesus' bosom, not only was he

close to Jesus' heart, but his more elaborate Gospel

shows that he felt every heartbeat of Christ!
