Bursting Pipes - No Problem
The Timed Control Valve can reduce the problem of water damage due to leaking or broken pipes as a result of age, corrosion, or freezing. This valve detects the ABNORMAL flow of water and will automatically close therefore reducing the damage. The valve can easily be reopened with the push of a button after repairs have been made. Great for mountain cabins or many other applications including washing machines, dishwashers, hot water heaters, and farm applications.
Cold Showers - No Problem
The Timed Control Valve can solve the problem of COLD showers for last in line users because the previous bathers took unnecessary long baths therefore using all the hot water. With the Timed Control Valve installed on the hot water line leading to the shower, the homeowner has full control of the time each bather can run the hot water. This is accomplished without any knowledge of or input by the bather. When the preset programmable time has expired, the valve closes leaving the bather with little or no hot water to finish the bath. Once the bather closes the shower valves, the Timed Control Valve returns to the open position after another programmable time has expired. The times are changeable program features of the valve and can be changed as often as desired by the homeowner simply by gaining access to the valve.
The Timed Control Valve can be installed in any position on HOT or COLD water lines and is a totally self contained unit. It is powered by a 9 volt battery and an optional AC adapter is available. The battery power alone should last for months or years since power is used primarily to run the internal clock and to operate the ball valve. However, actual closing of the valve will rarely occur once everyone becomes aware of the time that hot water will be available. Think of the cost savings on utilities. Water heating alone accounts for a major portion each month. Lighten the load on sewer systems and conserve water at the same time.
The control has a keypad for mode selection and control presets. Easy to install and, with the optional power adapter, easy to maintain.
