When it comes to Bible study, the most important ingredient is YOU! We are living in a society that does little for themselves. Most of what we do, we pay to have done, or we push a button, or we take a pill. We are living in an instant society, and we have become accustomed to wanting things now. Where Bible study is concerned, God's Word says: "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15.
We cannot afford to trust in what others tell us about the Bible. We cannot let the preacher do our studying for us. WE must study to show our own selves approved unto God. After all, it is God that we are seeking to please when we study, pray and worship, isn't it?
