| For the 4th time in 5 months, a first time WPT participant won our tournament. Larry Zuverink bested a record field of 21 to earn a spot at the Main Event. He defeated Mike Endres in heads up play. 3rd place went to Jena Evans. Both Jena & Ashlee have made the final table every time they've played! With Ashlee's 5th place finish, she's taken a commanding point lead. This was the first time we had to begin with 3 tables! Mike Endres got a little bit too excited at times, including yelling "YES!" when he hit his flush (but hey, he's played like crap most of the time!). With a portion of everyone's buy-in going to the American Cancer Society, the WPT raised $106.50 for charity! Thanks a lot Liz for organizing this event for such a worthy cause. |
