| Christmas of 2001 my mother gave me a sewing machine. Until then I never realized sewing could be so much fun. My first creation has been abandoned. It is a dress that I would never buy for myself. I must have been possessed when I made the pattern alterations and bout the enhancements/trimmings. Its 60's casual combined with frugality from the 50's. I love it, but i's not me (or at least not a part of me I am ready to admit too). So it is not finished, and will most likely be scraped. Another dress I made I still have ideas for. They involve olive colored long john's and brown faux fur. It's best you don't know until it's finished. My next project is the hem of a skirt for the matron of honor in Frog's sister's wedding. I wish I had a sewing room. A place to go to create. Maybe then all the ideas I have would come to fruition. |
