To TASTE:
I became a Vegetarian in May of 2001.  It is hard to believe a whole year has gone by already!  I had my last piece of beef with my Mother on her birthday.  Next I shared my last taste of chicken and pork  with the Captin (see To KNOW:).  And lastly came fish flesh, that one I shared with Bubbles (also see To KNOW:)
Many people ask me why.  There are many reasons why I have stayed a vegetarian, but only one reason why I gave up animal flesh.  Faith.  Hinduism teaches the principle of Ahimsa or Non-Injury.  This was echoed in my Wiccan past, "With harm to none".  When I decided to study the Hindu path to the Mother Goddess, I gave up meat.  Later I would learn that not all Hindus are vegetarian.  So the question became, why did I stay a vegetarian.  My body demands nothing less.  Everytime I get a craving for meat in my head or tastebuds, my stomache reminds me what it felt like to be on meat.  The craving goes away and so does the heavy, sick feeling.

There are many reasons to go Vegie.  I have shared with you some of mine.  The trick is to find your own reasons...
