| Spring has reached Buffalo. Everyone I know (including me) is suffering with some form of Spring Feaver. Today is a Sat. and Frog has to work in the morning. It is a rainy but warm day. The rain doesn't stop the birds from coming to the feeder. Through the living room window, I watched them splash about on the porch. I moved the patio furniture out onto the pourch. This made room for the decons' bench in the entry way. This opend the living room up a great deal. A little more house keeping and Our place is ready for Spring. While out on the porch I checked on the Vineyard :) The Vineyard (so far ;) consists of 2 Concord Grape Vines in large pots. As you can see growing up on a Vineyard has stayed with me. So here, in the city, I have surrounded myself with rememberances from home. My mother said that although they were young plants they would be able to survive winter, outside in pots. I was not sure. Today I discovered oth Vines are showing quite a few buds :) This makes me very happy. My entire childhood was spent amonst grape vines, both wild and tended. After that kind of experience, it is hard to find where the plant ends and its tender begins. |
