Part 11
*********************
New York ....
Sewer.

"I can't believe it. Fifty years, stuck on this stinking planet, working on a perfect plan to put my hands on her and destroy them. To make sure they won't stay together. And now she is going to marry an FBI agent that is after them. Who are they? The Royal Idiots?" Furious, Nicholas yells. He is pacing from one side to another while Lonnie and Rath are making out on the sofa.

Nicholas glares at them rather annoyed. "Can you two stop that and pay attention? This is really serious."

Lonnie stops kissing Rath and glances at Nicholas laughing. She pushes Rath who reluctantly lets go of her and glares at Nicholas.

"Come on, Nick. What's the big deal? If the little princess wants to marry the enemy, let her do it. Who cares?"

"Who cares? Who cares? Are you asking me who cares? I'll tell you who. Khivar. And he cares a lot. He is really pissed off about the idea of his precious Vilandra getting married. And believe me you don't want to see Khivar pissed off."

"Wait. The little Nick is afraid, is that it?" Rath laughs.

Angry, Nicholas points at him. "Laugh while you can, you idiot. Look at yourself in a mirror. You'll be the first Khivar is going to kill."

Rath stands up abruptly and grabs Nicholas by the collar. "NO. You look at yourself, you little dwarf. We are the royal ones; we've got the power. Don't forget it."

Nicholas laughs at him. "Ha.You are the one forgetting the things here, my dear. You are not they. You are not the Royal ones. You don't have their essence. They have. You are just a mistake.  You should have gone to the trash years ago. You are nothing."

Rath is ready to punch Nicholas in the face but Lonnie stops him. "Stop, Rath!! That's enough. Don't do something stupid. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in this dirty place surrounded by these stupid humans."

Rath grunts but releases Nicholas. Lonnie stares at him. She hates it when he talks to them like that. But she knows better than that. She knows he is right. They are just a mistake. A mistake the other side made and Khivar took advantage of. They are nothing more than that; the exactly copy of the Royal four and yet they have nothing of them.

"So. What do you want us to do?" she asks the teenage boy in front of her.

Nicholas grins. "Since her brother and her beloved warrior are so pathetic in this life that they are actually letting her do this I think that we have to stop this marriage ourselves."

"And how are you planning on doing that?" Lonnie asks, embracing Rath.

"I don't know. If only Ava was here, we could use her powers to confuse Vilandra, I mean Isabel. We could create some false memories about her and Khivar, you know, something with betrayal and a lot of blood. Something to scare her. To make her see that she can't marry this bastard or anyone else. But the few skins that remain couldn't find her. She is using her powers to conceal herself. It'll be just a question of time until we find her, but we don't have that much time. So I guess we'll have to kill this guy just as we do with the other two."

"But he's from the Special Unit. And we know what the special unit can do. They've been studying and haunting us for fifty years. They've killed the Royal Four Guardians and hundreds of skins. Don't forget that they are the reason why we live here, hidden in the sewer," Lonnie complains.

"Don't worry, my dear. We can handle them. The humans can have their tricks, but we are still aliens and that makes us more powerful. We just have to be careful."

"I don't like this." Rath frowns.

"No one is asking you to like it. That's what we're going to do and that's all," Nicholas raises his voice.

"I don't think so," a different voice replies.

The three stare at the guy that appears from the shadows. He has long black hair that falls over his face and blue eyes that carry a mysterious look.

"Hey! What the hell are you--" Rath goes toward him but Arcon throws a red ball of energy at him.

Seeing Rath falling down, Lonnie gets angry and tries to attack Arcon but ends up on the ground too.

Nicholas doesn't move a muscle to help the two dupes, just stares at Arcon with curiosity.

Arcon steps forward him and gazes at Nicholas, analyzing him. Then he chuckles. "So you are the great Nicholas. After all the things my people said about you I must say that I didn't expect you to be so...how can I say...so short."

Nicholas glares at him and raises his hand to attack him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," he warns Nicholas who puts his hands down and looks behind him. "And these losers must be the dupes, the cheap imitation of the royal four, or at least two of them." Rath helps Lonnie stand up and the two glare at him with hate. "Now I know why we haven't won this war. Even some stupid teenagers lost in Roswell are a better team than this. But don't worry, I'm here to change history."

"And who are you?" Asks Nicholas.

The guy smiles, "I'm Arcon, King of Antar."

Lonnie, Rath and Nicholas stare at him puzzled.

***********************

I'm lost.

Around me there's only the emptiness of the desert, the silence of the desert. I'm scared. I call for my friends, my brother, my love. But there's no answer. I'm alone. I always am.

The wind blows. It's cold. So cold. The tears are falling again. The tears that I try so hard to hide, try to forget. I try to stop them but it's in vain, they will never stop. Then I see what the wind is trying to show me. The symbols. Our home. Our destiny. Forgotten there. Covered by the sand. Disappearing in the solitude of the desert.

"Mommy!!! Mommy!!!"

He is calling me. Where is he? I can't see him. "Where are you?" I shout desperately in tears. "Please, don't leave me. Tell me where you are. Please."

I collapse on the ground. The pain. The pain is so intense. It's like a hole in my heart. A hole in my soul. I try to reach the symbols. I begin to dig with my hands. Hopeless. It's too late. It's all gone. It's all lost. I'm lost.

"Michael!!!"

********************

Isabel wakes up abruptly. Slowly, she gets up and steps toward the window, opening the curtains. She sighs. It's still dark out there. She glances at the clock on the bedside table, It's three o'clock in the morning. Suddenly, a sad feeling takes over her and she weeps. Today is her wedding day.

"You shouldn't be crying. Today is supposed to be the happiest day of your life."

"I know." She wipes her tears away. " Alex," she says softly staring at her long lost friend.

"Yeah?"

"You're here to say goodbye, aren't you?"

Alex nods and takes her hand.

"Oh, Alex."

"Shsh...We both know it's time for you to let me go. It's time for me to let you go. You are going to take a big step today. One that will change your life forever."

"But I still need you."

"No, you don't. You never really did. There's someone else taking care of you. Someone who has always been there. And will always be."

"Who? I don't understand."

"You will someday. But until then believe me when I say that you are not alone, you'll never be. Oh princess, I can't promise you that there won't be sorrow, that there won't be bitterness and that there won't be more tears. But no matter how hard things get, don't forget to listen to your heart. There, you'll find all the answers."

"Thank you, Alex." She hugs him and gives him a small peck on the cheek. "Thank you for being my friend."

He smiles at her. "No, thank you for being mine." And kissing her hand softly he disappears in front of her eyes, this time forever."

Isabel gazes at the stars through her window. "Goodbye, Alex. Wherever you are, be happy."

Isabel heads for the bathroom to take a shower. She knows that there's no way she can go back sleep. Not today. Thus, she fails to notice someone who is out there, staring at her window.

Michael is lost in time. He has been there, leaning on that tree, staring at her window all night. He was surprised when he saw her. She seemed so sad. He wanted to go there, he wanted to go to her and tell her...and tell her...even now the words get stuck in his throat. Worse, they are wrapped around his soul. Why? Why? He keeps asking himself. What is happening with him? When did things get so confused? Well, they always have been, the difference is that before he could hide this, this truth that lies within him, from anyone including himself. He sighs. What is he going to do?

Michael stays at the same place, staring at her window, not realizing that there's someone staring at him too. Not too far away, Will is watching him.

"You moron. You should have gone to her, talked to her, then things would have gone differently. But maybe this was how things were meant to be. I wish I could warn you, talk to you. This is all so strange. But I can't intervene. And I can't let Arcon intervene either. I wonder where he is, what he is planning now," William wonders.

******************************
Isabel looks at herself in the mirror. She is absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress although she doesn't feel like it. In fact she looks miserable, everything seems wrong. The dress, the hair, the bride. Or maybe the problem is the groom. Isabel tries to erase these thoughts from her head. They are all nonsense, nervousness. Everything is perfect. More perfect than possible.

She looks around her. She looks at her room as if saying goodbye to this place. She smiles remembering the good moments she lived in this house. The funniest thing is that she has already done that some months ago when they were supposed to leave earth. Life is so funny. One day you are leaving and in the next not only you are staying but you are also marrying someone from here. What would her mother say? The real one. Isabel thinks that she would say something like, "Well, at least this one is not our enemy." Isabel laughs at herself. She is really losing it.

She stares at a picture on her desk. Max on the left, she in the middle and, and Michael on the right. The three of them together, smiling carefree. She loves this picture. It was actually taken some weeks before the incident at the Crashdown because, of course, after that well, there was only fear and worries, no more smiles like that. She gazes at Michael's image and smiles sadly. She gently fingers it and then, then they come to her, images floating on her mind, images of the past.

#################################

She is running through the large corridors without taking notice of everything and everybody that is around her. She can't stop. It can't be true. He...No...She is wrong. She must be. For the last two cycles of the suns, her life has been a nightmare as well as the life of every Antarian citizen.

The war has struck. Her father's pleas to the 5 worlds council  were in vain. Three of the other four worlds have declared war against Antar, claiming the Granolith's power. They don't understand that they can't have it anyway. And it seems that her own people doesn't either. The war brought fear to her people and that encouraged the revolution that was starting in the south of Antar, whose only aim is destroy her family.

She continues running. She is wearing a long red velvet dress with some details in gold that match perfectly with the gold waves of her long hair. Around her neck is the medallion he gave her. She touches it slightly. Rath. The last time she saw him she said it would be the last, that she couldn't see him again and now...It's all her fault.

She stops in front of a huge gateway, waving her hand it opens to her. Inside, she finds her brother studying war strategies with the royal advisers. All the men inside the room glare at the princess like she is not allowed in this place. But Vilandra ignores their gaze focusing her eyes on just one person. Zan.

"Tell me it isn't true," she says to her brother.

"Vilandra, you shouldn't be here." Zan doesn't want to say anything to her. He can't handle this right now. He can't think of all the lost. Things are going too fast. It's been too much to him. With his father out there fighting. He has to take care of the Kingdom alone and even if he has been trained for this since the day he was born it still scares him. He has to protect her and his mother. He has to protect millions of lives. And he is not sure he can do this.

"Tell me now," she demands to know. She has to know.

Zan is shocked. He has never seen her sister losing her temper like this. He frowns. "What do you want me to say then?"

Vilandra turns her back to him, holding back her tears. No. Please. Old Gods. Don't let it be true. "What happened?"

"We lost contact with his ship in the quadrant 1-7."

"1-7? No. You must be wrong. What was he doing there? You assured me that he wouldn't be anywhere near the battlefield." She turns to him angrily.

"Calm down, Lonnie." He acts steady, glancing at his side, trying to alert her about the presence of the advisors in the room.

Vilandra sighs when she sees the curious eyes of the council on her. "How could you do this to me, Zan? How could you send him there?" she whispers in a sad and low tone so only Zan could hear.

"I didn't," he tells her, his eyes telling her it's true.

"So why? How?"

"I don't know, but you know Rath. He never follows the rules. He is always doing these stupid things."

"It was all my fault. If I didn't--"

"No. He is a warrior. You couldn't stop him."

"Your Highness," an advisor calls him.

" Yes?"

"We are receiving some signals from 0-9."

"0-9?" He stares at Vilandra. "That's where father is."

The two join the council.

"Can you transmit the signal?" Zan asks.

"It's too weak. But we'll try."

A hologram appears before them but its image is not clear. A voice echoes.

"This is...This is...lieutenant...from...third..."

"Try to stabilize the sound," Zan demands.

"This is Lieutenant Rath from the third command." There's now a loud sound of explosions and sceams.

Vilandra gasps. "It's him. He is alive."

"1.98 cycles ago I noticed a strange standard in the energy flux near-9." [More explosions are heard.] "I tried to stabilize contact but there was no answer so I decided to check it out. On the quadrant 1-7 I was attacked but managed to get to 0-9, where I found the Royal Troops fenced in by the enemy. The situation here is dangerous." [ "We have to go, lieutenaunt. This whole place is going to explode," someone shouts.]  The King is using all his powers to stop the enemy but he can't stand this for much longer. Our enemies built a system that is blocking our transmissions, that's why the King couldn't stabilize contact with the palace before." [ More noise in the background] "I've finally managed to break their system but I don't know for how long. I hope that you are receiving this message. I repeat the situation here is dangerous. We need reinforcements now or it will be too late. And Zan, if you are receiving this, tell her that no matter what, it'll be forever."

"Rath," Vilandra whispers. She reaches out, trying to touch his hologram as if it was him but the holograms disappears. She can't hold her tears anymore.

All the advisors are murmuring.

"Send all the troops to help them. Immediately," Zan commands.

"I'm sorry, your highness. But we can't," the advisors proclaim.

"What do you mean we can't? It's an order. It's the King who is there."

"What we mean, your highness, is that we can't send them reinforcements. Nothing is passing through 1-7. Our enemies are concentrating on there, that means that it is impossible for our troops to reach them in 0-9."

"No, there must be a way. If Rath could, they can too."

"Even if they could, we are afraid that it would be too late and worse this would open space for our enemies. If our troops moved, they would reach the cities, the palace. We would be defenseless."

Vilandra stares at Zan, as well as all the advisors. It hurts him to make this decision but the advisors are right. He remembers some of his father's words, 'Remember, my son. Antar is the people. No king is more important than them. We are just tools. Tools in the hands of the old gods who gave to us the Granolith and its power to protect this beautiful world and people. Never forget that, my son. Never forget.' He can't risk his people's life. It doesn't matter the price he will have to pay. "I'm sorry, Lonnie."

Vilandra winces when she hears her brother's words. She can't leave them there, she can't.  She takes a deep breath and says, "I'll go there."

"You what?" Zan asks while the advisors stare at her puzzled.

"I am a member of the royal family. I'm more powerful than a hundred of soldiers together, Zan. I can help them. I won't let my father and the man I love die there."

"And I won't let you die there." Zan grabs her and says straight to her face, "Our father is more powerful than we are now and if he can't handle them, we can't either."

"We are stronger together."

"Yes, that's right and that's why you have to stay here. I need you to help me to protect our people. If our troops there can't stop the enemy, we'll be Antar's last hope. That's what Father would expect us to do."

"Zan." She doesn't know what to say. She knows he is right. If her father fails, she, her mother and he will be the last hope of Antar. But her heart just can't accept that. If only...Wait. The Granolith.

Without saying a word, she runs to the Granolith's chamber.

"Lonnie. Wait." Zan sighs. He knows what she is thinking, and he also knows that he can't stop her but he knows who can. "Call the Queen."

***********

She stares at the Granolith. She can feel the power that is emanating from it. She is reaching out for it when--

"Don't."

"I can't let them die, mother," she says keeping her hand just a few inches from the Granolith.

"If you try to use the Granolith you could end up killing us all," her mother says serene.

Lonnie weeps, dropping her hand. Her mother embraces her.

"It's not fair, Mom. This whole war is because of this thing. This power. And why? Why if I can't even use its power to save the ones I love?"

"My dear Vilandra. I wish I had an answer for you. But the truth is that we don't know anything. The universe is a mystery for all the beings that live in it. And not all the things make sense to us. The Granolith was a present sent from The Old Gods millions of cycles ago. More than power it should symbolize hope and faith. The Gods gave the power to control the Granolith to the Royal Family of Antar, your father's ancestors, your ancestors. A power that can be shared with the ones they love, like your father and me. The Royal Family had the duty to use the power of the Granolith wisely to protect the life of the people of the 5 worlds. But the power of the Granolith is so huge that until now no one could release all this power. This power could end up destroying Antar or all the galaxy if someone releases it. That's why the Gods gave us the key. The one that your father always carries with him. With this key we can control a small part of the Granolith's power. Really small if we compare it with all the energy that it has but enough to assure the balance on the worlds."

"Unfortunately, the people forgot all that, Mom. Now, instead of hope and faith, the Granolith means power. Just power."

"I know. And it scares me too. It scares me what our society became. We used to live in peace and now it's just war after war. One planet attacking another. One planet attacking itself. I know it's hard for you, darling. I'm not asking you to understand because I don't quite understand either but you are not ready to use the Granolith. Yet. Because every time I look into your eyes something tells me that someday you'll be able to. And this scares me too. It scares me the price that eventually you'll have to pay to use it."

"Mom?"

"My Lonnie. You will never be able to use the Granolith if you just come after its power. Remember when you were a child and every time you asked what the Granolith did I told you that it made wishes come true?"

Vilandra nods.

"Hope. Faith. Love. These are the true things. The true power. You have to have all this in your heart to make your wishes come true. Have faith in them, Lonnie. If he loves you he will come back to you. One way or another. Have hope. You need to believe that dreams come true."

Vilandra embraces her mother tightly, thanking her. Her mother is always right. She is so calm, so serene and she can always rely on her. In the good and bad moments. "I shall believe, Mother. Dreams come true. I shall believe."

************************

"Isabel."

"Huh?" She looks behind her and sees Max.

"It's time to go. I think that you are already too late, soon Jesse is going to start thinking that you are really not going."

Isabel smiles. "Yes, I'm coming. I was just..."

"It was good, wasn't it?"

"What?"

"Us. Before." He points to the picture she was looking at.

Realizing what Max means she nods. "Yes. It was."

"Things will never be like that again, will they?" Max asks sadly.

"I don't know, Max. I wish, more than anything, that they could be, but a lot of things happened. You changed. I changed. Michael changed. And worst of all, the world around us changed."

"Yeah, I guess you are right," Max replies sadly.

Not standing to see the hurt look on Max's face, Isabel takes his hand and whispers softly, "But you know, Max, I too believe that far more than we've changed, the feelings remain the same. The three of us, in a way, will always be Maxie, Mikey and Iz. The Prince Charming. The Rebel. And The Ice Queen. The strangest group of friends in the universe."

Max laughs at his sister. "Ok. Let's go before you start yelling, 'One for all. All for one.'"

"Hey! I wouldn't go that far."

"Oh, yes. You would."
*********************

The church is beautiful and full of friends and relatives. Everybody is there. She is already at the altar beside him, Jesse. For her it seems that the priest has been speaking for hours but for some reason she didn't get a word of what he has been saying. She should be paying attention, shouldn't she? I mean she doesn't want to say, 'I do, Michael.' Where did she see something like that before? Oh, yes on the television on that show. No. No. Concentrate, Isabel. Jesse is saying something. What is he saying? "I do." Ah, of course he does. Why wouldn't he? He doesn't know you are a freaking alien. Ok, smiles now. Look at the guests. Pretend you are happy. Good girl. You should be an actress. "And you, Isabel, do you..." Ok, now it's my turn. I can do this. Let's practice. I do. I do. I do.

However while the priest is still asking the question, Isabel's eyes find the only eyes they couldn't have--Michael's. There's something more in his eyes today. What is it? She saw it before. But was it in this life or in the other? She smiles sadly. Thousands of memories fill her mind. No, not strange flashes about a life she doesn't remember, but memories that she keeps in her heart like treasures. Memories of this life. Memories of Michael and Isabel.

Your love is better than ice cream

She remembers that when she came out of the pods he was there waiting for her, holding her hand and helping her.

Better than anything else that I've tried

She remembers when she lost him the first time. In the desert. When the lights of the car appeared and he ran away leaving them, leaving her behind.

Your love is better than ice cream

She remembers the three long years without him, crying every night, because she had lost him, because he wasn't there with her.

Everyone here knows how to fight

She remembers that strange feeling that crossed her heart that day, telling her he was there. She remembers how she grabbed Max and how they ran like crazy kids until they found him. She remembers the tears that filled her eyes that day, tears of joy. She remembers that she ran to his arms and hugged him tightly and whispered her first words to him, "I found you". And she remembers how shocked and scared he seemed, but also happy because finally they were together.

It's a long way down

She remembers the first time he told her his name. "They call me Michael. Michael Guerin."

She remembers the first time he said her name. "Isabel."

She remembers the first time he said her nickname. "Hey, Iz! Wait!"

It's a long way down

She remembers that night and those terrible feelings, feelings lost and how she ran and ended up there. How he came to her that day. How he ended up in the same place. She still thinks that that place is magical. Their secret place. She remembers the long hours they spent there, how good it was.

It's a long way down

She remembers all the games they made. How she and Max busted into laughter every time Michael started reporting his stories about his real parents and the three heads that they had.

She remembers the funny face Michael made every time he tried to use his powers like Max did. And she remembers how angry he got because he wasn't able to copy Max.

To the place where we started from

She remembers how he refused to go to her birthday parties. Well, and to all the others parties too. And she remembers that he always showed up at her window after everybody was gone and they'd have their own private party with the cake she kept for him. And she loved the present she gave to her every year, a kiss. Well, actually it was more like a a small and shy peck on her cheek, but coming from Michael this was more than any girl could dream of.

And the way it made her feel. It was the best present in the world.

Your love is better than chocolate

She remembers when she dreamwalked Michael. He got so scared. It was so funny.

She remembers how he used to protect her. Max and Michael were like some kind of body guards. No guy could come close to her. It was terrible. But she liked it.

She remembers how they were always together. School. Desert. Home. Cinema. Crashdown. Just walking. Well, not always together. Michael hates the mall.

Better than anything else that I've tried

She remembers all their stupid fights and how they laughed after they had them.

Oh love is better than chocolate

She remembers how hurt she was when she found him in that stupid motel with Maria. She knew nothing happened but still. She remembers how hurt she was when he was really with her.

Everyone here knows how to cry

She remembers that night at the library, how scared she was that he'd find his answers and leave her. And how he got sad when he didn't find them and how she was there for him then.

She remembers when he got sick because of Riverdog. When he almost died. When she almost lost him again.

She remembers when Hank hit him. How she wanted to kill Hank for that. How worried she was. How he wanted to leave Roswell. How everything stopped making sense. How happy she was when he came back that morning.

It's a long way down

She remembers the dreams. And this hurts. She remembers how right they felt.

How happy he was and their son.

She remembers destiny. She remembers not talking about destiny.

She remembers the skins. She remembers the fear when he came back hurt from the UFO Center. She remembers choosing Michael. "We're in war. It's him or us. And I choose us." "Me too."

It's a long way down

She remembers her birthday. "You don't belong with him." "No, I belong with you." She also remembers that he made a cake for her. That was so sweet. Too bad she never got to eat the cake because of all that happened. She remembers the tears that came with the the knowledge of her past. How could she betray him? How could she look at him knowing that?

It's a long way down

She remembers that more and more they came apart.

She remembers departure. She remembers the cold and empty sensation that she felt that night. She remembers losing him. She remembers giving up.

To the place where we started from

She remembers the last month. The fights because of the wedding. "Is my fianc still alive?" "Yes. He is a lucky guy. I couldn't find him." She remembers their talks. "I can't lose you, Isabel." "You won't, Michael. You will never lose me."

...do do do.

She remembers everything. "You don't need to worry. I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to take care of evething. Skins, dupes, aliens, humans. Nothing is going to stay in your way."

"Isabel?"

"What?" she asks startled.

"You have to answer the question." The priest smiles at her. All the guests are staring at her, waiting, anxious.

Isabel laughs nervously. Taking a deep breath she stares softly at her future husband. "I...I'm sorry Jesse." And saying this she runs away.

Jesse is shocked. No, the whole church is shocked. Murmurs echo in the air.

Max wants to go after his sister, to see if she is okay but his mother passes out by his side and he has to help her first.

Michael smiles. He is so confused. What the hell is going on here? It doesn't matter. All he knows is that he needs to go after her. Now.

"Where do you think you are going?" Maria stops him.

"I have to go after her," he says simply.

"No. You don't." Maria is not liking any of this. She is not stupid. She saw the way he was looking at her when she arrived in the church. And she saw the way Isabel was looking at him just one minute before she ran from the altar. And now he wants to run after her. No way. "I don't like the idea of my boyfriend running after the bride. What will people think?"

"What?" Michael can't believe what he is hearing.

"I'll go after her." Kyle runs to the exit.

"Wait, Valenti!" Michael yells in vain. Michael is pissed off. "Maria, what's your problem?"

"Don't you think that Jesse is the one that should go after her?"

"Talking about Jesse. Where is he?" Liz asks looking at the empty  altar.

"Who cares? We need to go after her. Where's Max?" Michael looks around him, searching for Max. The church is a real confusion. It's crowded, with people asking a lot of questions like if there will be a reception or if they can take the presents back.

*********************
Isabel is running, crying. Oh, What have I done? Oh, Jesse, I'm so sorry. I'm sure you hate me now. But it's better that way. It wouldn't be fair to you. I don't love you. I love him. I thought that I could try not to, but who am I trying to kid? I'll never forget him. He is a part of my life. He is a part of me. Oh God, what am I doing? I'm running away from my own wedding. Dad is going to kill me. Mom must be crying. Max.

Her thoughts are interrupted when she finds herself being surrounded by five black vans and then by twenty men all in black and carrying weapons.

"What is happening here?" she asks, afraid as the men come closer to her. "Stay back. I'm warning you." She raises her hand.

"Isabel!!" Kyle shouts.

One of the men fires on him. He collapses on the ground.

"No." Isabel uses her power and throws seven of them away and tries to reach Kyle but another two guys come behind her and inject something into her.

Isabel feels her head getting heavy and all the world disappearing around her.

"Michael." She passes out.

Suddenly Michael feels an intense pain in his head. His vision is blurred. He loses his balance and almost falls but Max comes behind him and helps him.

"Michael, what's the problem?" Max asks worried.

"Isabel." He stares at Max with a lost look. "We need go. Now."

**********************

The two come running desperately.

Max can't even think. If something happens to Isabel...

Michael has never felt anything like this before. Not in this life. Panic. He can't lose her. He can't live without her.

Then, when they see Kyle lying bleeding on the ground, they knew that their worst nightmare has come true. Max kneels beside Kyle.

Michael looks all around him. Lost. She is not there. She is not there.

"Isabeeeellll!!!" he screams desperately. His fury releases his powers and the ten cars that are parked on the street explode.
