Laos 5 Kip 1962 (Royal Lao) Front Design: Portrait of former King Sisavang Vong, the 12th King of Laos, reigned 1904-1959. Born in July 14, 1885 he studied at the Ecole Coloniale in Paris before succeeding to the throne on April 28, 1904. He was officially crowned king of Luang Prabang on March 4, 1905. He died on October 29, 1959 and was ceremonially cremated the following year.
