this site's title is inspired from a poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar. here's the whole poem (in case you couldn't read the very faint poem on the index page...i couldn't read it either! ^^;; my fault)

I could not disappoint you and so prevailed.

i imagined cloud reading (or writing, whatever) this poem to aeris. see, the first line tells us that the reason cloud got his strength to finish sephiroth or whatever else is because aeris loved him. If aeris hadn't loved him, he would have failed. that's exactly what the second line say. but then again, aeris died (*cry*) trusting and believing that cloud will do the rest for her. so, cloud couldn't disappoint aeris because of that (and because he loved her) and finished off the whole jenova thing.
