Don't tell me that its over, before

it has a chance to begin.

Don't tell me I crowd your space,

when I am many miles away.

Don't tell me you feel for me, then

walk away.

Don't tell me to wait for you, then

you never show.

For all you say and do to me.

It will be me who leaves you standing

behind.

For I am me, and always will be.

And someone someday, will be there

to take my hand when you play

your games.

Don't tell me I am the only one, then

look beyond where I stand.

Don't tell me your love is true, then

whisper in another's ear.

For I am only me, and always will be.

And someday I will say "I Do" while

you sit behind, asking me to wait for

you.

Don't play your mindless games with

my heart. Don't take for granted what

you do not have.

For you'll stand alone in the world

you built.

While I carry on. For I am only me
