Someday Human

I am here, where are you. I sit here

on my rock, searching endlessly for

my man of ecstacy.

I sit here on my rock, for hours

looking out towards the sea.

Wondering where he'll be.

On my rock, I wonder where he'll

dock. Lonely times drift on by, as I

give out a soft sigh.

He is a fisherman, he lives his life,

by the sea, so when will he find me.

I sing my song, my voice carries in

the wind.

Across the oceans and the horizons.

Hear my voice as it echos, across the

lands of man.

They come to find me, but can not see

me. For I am smart. I hide

among my friends, and no harpoons

can find me.

For I will search for this one man

and I know someday he'll come. For I

have seen him and he has heard me

call to him, in my song.

For I am just a lonely mermaid, who

will be human someday.

There will be magic, for all to see.

I sit upon my rock, I look out to sea.

He will find me someday, and together

we will be.

Until that time, my heart belongs to the

sea, for my families are there.

All the porpoise and the whales are my

family too.

King Neptune watches over me, and he

sees, someday soon. My love will bloom

for a fisherman.
