Telling tales of days gone by, feeling so
lonely deep inside.
Her beauty was unspeakable, her glow so
radiant.
Sunshine cast its rays on me, as her smile
drew from the golden beams.
Whispers all around the town, saying she
might marry, her fisherman friend.
He set sail on a stormy day, never to return.
She watches out to sea, hoping for a glimpse
of him.
Years have come and years have gone, yet
her love is still so strong.
Time has worn her beauty, but her heart still
glows outwardly.
Looking over the horizon, waiting patiently.
For someday, he may return.
Her eyes are lost, as she gazes upon his picture.
Holding him in her heart, there, they will never
part.
Looking out to sea, wishing he would come to
her once more, before she goes away.
Another day, another night goes by, she turns to
walk away, only to return, for tomorrow is a new
day.
