You said something's, that sent daggers
to my heart, piercing open wounds of
yesteryear.
Words so harsh, that could flatten a
cannonball of steel.
Names you say, hurt who I am.
I can not change this. Or change who
you are. But I can change, whom I
like and want to be with.
For you see, I do what I can to help
others, and hurting them is not in me.
So if you enjoy being who you are,
then so be it.
But I choose not to be treated with
disrespect, or lies and deceit.
For I am me, and I am somebody.
As you are you.
For our time here on earth is limited,
so why waste it by being abusive and
cruel. To much of that already exist.
Look at the beauty which surrounds
you, then ask yourself why are you
this way.
For we all have had things happen to
us, somewhere along the way.
But to dwindle on the pain is senseless
and one must wake up, and see the
beauty which surrounds you.
The next time you feel down and blue,
talk to me, do not throw harmful words
at me. For one day, I will turn deaf to
you.
