Today I was told my friends went away.
To a better place, a new home.
One of only love and no worries and no
pain, or hate to hinder them.
Today I was told that they went away.
Taken against their will, by others
evilness. Taken in a horrible way.
Today I hold a yellow rose, in their
memory and will keep a candle lit in
my heart, for eternity.
Today many tears and sorrow cross the
land. Great empathy is shared by many.
But I must remember, they still live.
Their bodies are gone away, but as long
as we hold them dear, their spirit will
live on.
So I sit here writing these words. Trying
to reach many to hold memory. Take a
yellow rose, encase it with your love, light
a candle in your heart, for eternity.
Then they will live on, in spirit.
I know this does not ease the pain, only
my way of showing my love to them, and
holding them in my heart.
So take this little poem, with the yellow
rose and remember what it stands for.
Let it stay for eternity this way.
God Bless and keep you my gone away
friends.
