Arms of Love

He came into my life one lonely night. So lonely

and betrayed.

He extended his arms out to me.

But I shunned his hospitality, and turned my

head away. For I have been hurt and deceived.

He gazed into my heart this eve, and a feeling of

love came over me. But still I turned away.

Afraid to let him in, as I have been hurt by

friends and my mate. So alone I choose to be, and

tears often find me.

Still he stands watching over me, offering me his

hand. Not a word is spoken, yet I can feel his

warmth and love.

I take his hand and I know it is right, for he has

taken my pain from me, and I know now, deep

down, I was never alone.

He has always been there for me, I was just too

blind to see.. My love will flourish and my heart

will heal, for he has confidence in me.
