| Precious Wings Could you fall down on me, And break my precious wings, Chance falling in love with me, Risking the loss of everything. Would you smile for me, And cast away my empty pain, Couldn't you just be with me, Without the complications of a chain. Will we ever find out, If this is right or this is wrong, Yet still use our needed ethics, To sing another happy song. Can you give away your heart, To someone quite like me, And not shed a single tear, When I say it will never be. Could you fall down on me, And break my precious wings, Chance falling in love with me, Risking the loss of everything. Loving you will be just as hard, For me as it could ever be for you, But I'm putting everything out on the table, In hopes that you will too. Accept my naive request, To give up on one-minded soul, Melt the ice of my being, And make embers from my coal. Kaylan, September 5th, 2003. Back to Poetry |
