Pingu Poetry

Pingu you've made me laugh and even cry
And I'm sure if you were cancelled I would die
For you are my life I can't live without,
watching you eat all that good trout.
So I want you to know I love you so,
And I'll watch your show until I grow old.

PINGU, PINGU

Pingu, oh Pingu, how can there be
another penguin as cool as thee.
No other penguin could possibly thrill
so many people as only you will.
Thousands of people both grown-up and small
you always keep happy with no trouble at all.
One little slap of your big floppy flippers
bring smiles to the faces of adults and nippers.
If I had one wish, and one wish alone
I would move to the arctic to set up my home,
I'd give you a ring when my house was neat
and invite you round for a bite to eat.
I'd call all your friends and your family too
and we'd have a big party, a party for you.
We'd eat lots of food and play on the ice,
Pingu, don't you think that that would be nice?
But until I find a wizard with a wish just for me
I'll just have to watch you on CBBC.

Pingu, when you cried at that mysteriously sad letter,
My head exploded with walrus farts from planet xorb,
Your tiny clay tear froze fast to the ice,
Every injustice ever done to humanity was meaningless.
When you got sick from riding on that swing,
I stood on my head and sang "oh, Suzanna" in backwards russian,
drank liquid oxygen and turned into a sculpture of a moose made
entirely from spaghetti.
When you danced to that creepy chuckling eurodance song,
Every garbled sound that ever left your beak decoded,
and that insane MAAA-MAAA sound you make turned into all the
information externalized by the human race, coagulating into a perfect
statement about the universe.

My first born will bear your name.
