After a great day at Enchanted Village, we decided to stop and have dinner at one of our favorite new restaurants, Bahama Breeze. Its right off the freeway near Southcenter Mall and we were both looking forward to going again.

One of the classiest things at Bahama Breeze is their free valet parking. What fun! Why everyone doesn't take advantage of this service, I don't understand.
Because of the rain, we hoped that people had decided to stay in tonight, but unfortunately there was a 65-90 minute wait when we got to the restaurant. No big deal though. We grabbed our pager and took a walk through the mall for about an hour.

We decided to skip the appetizers, but I went ahead and ordered a Mint Chocoloccino to keep me awake during the long drive home. It was the prettiest drink I've had in a long time, but not very good. When the fellow (not our server) dropped off the drink, he had two identical coffees in his arms. He muttered something and stuck one in front of me. I wonder if either a) I got the wrong drink, b) they completely forgot to put any flavoring whatsoever in my coffee, or c) Bahama Breeze has many strong points, but brewing coffee is not one of them. It was flavorless and had a bitter taste. Ick. I couldn't even finish it.

I couldn't make up my mind on an entree, so I decided to go with the Beef Shish Kabobs that I had last time. Unfortunately, the first bite was burnt on the outside and dry on the inside. Ick. A little less than I'd hoped for. Also, the pineapple garnish was the "for lookin', not for eatin'" kind. At this point, I was getting pretty upset because I'd really looked forward to having dinner here. I tried another piece of meat though, and it was just fine. The rest of my meal was just as tasty as ever.

Erik's dinner was one of the most artistic food presentations I've ever seen! His beef was rolled up in a spiral and had some kind of plant decorating the top. They stuffed a tomato with tropical dip and placed giant chips askew on top of his garlic potatos. It was so creative and yummy!
For dessert we ordered our favorite: Jose's Chocolate Tres Leches. Erik makes me order it because he says I can pronounce it better. Hehe.. Its this wonderful Cuban chocolate cake that is soaked in milk I think.. its not heavy or watery like you'd think though.. just delicious! The presentation is also wonderful.. a slab of chocolate cake, slathered in whipped chocolate mousse icing with wonderful fresh strawberries arranged around the edge. All of it sits atop swirls of chocolate and carmel that decorate the serving plate. Just wondeful!
After dinner, we picked up our car from the Valet and headed home. All in all, it was a great day! We were so lucky not to have rain until evening, and we had lots of fun at Enchanted Village. It was interesting to see how they run things in comparison to Disney parks and it was interesting to see the changes that Six Flags has made.
After thinking about it, I've decided that I probably won't buy an Enchanted Village Season Pass, unless I have friends who express an interest in going more often with me. Enchanted Village was a fun and relaxing park, but somehow, I doubt it would be as enjoyable with summer crowds. Besides, it is a 45 minute drive away and they charge extra for parking. I got my fill and saw everything I wanted to. Maybe I'll check it out again in another ten years. :)
