As I'm sure all of you have heard, there's a huge debate about gun control recently. I cannot possibly think of something more ludicrous than adding yet another "gun law" on the books. The idea of a law is to enforce it, right? Well what good is a NEW law going to do if it is just a band-aid? One must enforce the rules in order for them to work.
"...A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people
to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."---- Amendment II, United States Constitution
Taking into consideration that the Constitution guaruntees the right to bear arms, there is NO WAY the U.S. Government will keep guns from the citizens.
People must also realize that the right to bear arms is NOT the only part to the second amendment. A well regulated militia(aka National Guard) being necessary to the security of a free state, is a large portion of this amendment as well. So, when you debate, attempt to look intelligent, and include all aspects of the amendment!
The following links are some internet sites dealing with the Amendment II debate:
"...When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
